They are designed to open automatically when the pressure exceeds a predetermined level, releasing excess pressure and preventing equipment damage or personnel injury.\n\nAccountabilities:\n\nHSE and Process Safety\n\nProvides a well-resourced source of expertise and advise in process safety in offshore applications by engaging consistently and transparent with stakeholders where dealings with duty-holders and informing the developments in process safety topics\nSupport the policy of HSE for the control of major accident hazards \nParticipate as part of a multidisciplinary team in safety case assessment, inspection, and investigation\nStimulate the research and development for the prevention of major accident hazards\nMaintain awareness of current developments in process safety\n\nInstrument\n\nImplements the Preventive Maintenance (PM) plan within his section.\nPrepares procurement plan for his section.\nReviews policies of warehouse materials/spare parts and determines strategy of their handling and procurement\nConducts the technical evaluation of bids and generate the evaluation report.\nParticipate in Management of Change (MOC) committee review meetings.\nDirects, supervises, and controls all work for instruments maintenance and calibration.\nReceives and analyses periodic reports on instruments maintenance and scheduled turnarounds and determines the best course of action for increasing the Section’s efficiency.\nProvides full technical & workforce support during day-to-day operations, major maintenance, or emergencies. \nDetermines long-term instrument maintenance policy and oversees detailed planning of maintenance activities and programs.\nCoordinates efforts within the Section to develop guidelines, specifications, best practices, and procedures for maintenance of pressure, level, flow, temperature, vibration, and pH instruments.\nSupervise PM and CM activities in Instrumentation as per schedule and completed them timely. \nSupervises data collection from field and reports them through proper communication channels.\nReceives assignment or work orders from TL and coordinates C/A with assigned staff for troubleshooting and repair works on distributed Logic controllers. \nFollow laid down procedures to undertake emergency shot down valves testing, and maintenance installations. \nSupervises and assist in troubleshooting and tuning on complex control loops\nSupervise and assist in programming of various Programmable Logic controllers.\nIdentify spares related to control system and maintain safe stock.\nConducts the technical evaluation of bids and generate the evaluation report.\nIdentifying gas gap in maintenance plan and task list and propose improvement. \n\nPlant Improvement and Modification\n\nStudies and evaluates proposals for plant modification or improvements and provides recommendations on workability at the implementation stage.\nConduct HAZOP studies for new modifications. \nConduct Risk assessment, obtain expert advice from concerned departments and ensure implementation of risk assessment results.\n\nVendor Management\n\nConduct regular meetings with third party suppliers, including licensors, vendor and affiliated companies and follow up on deliverables.\nMaintains close communication with vendors & suppliers. \n\nKey interactions\nInternal: All Maintenance Managers & Engineers, Planners, Operations, Procurement, Logistic & HSE\nExternal: Contractors, Vendors & Suppliers\n\nNotable Working Conditions.
