You’ll lead our global Facilities function, creating safe, effective and resilient environments that keep operations running today and enable international expansion tomorrow.\nThe Role\nYou’ll own OQC’s global office and manufacturing facilities and estate strategy across the UK, and Spain plus other satellite locations including Japan, Singapore and the US.\nYou’ll balance operational reliability with major workplace programmes, investment decisions and long-term portfolio planning.\nYou’ll lead the UK Facilities Manager and Head of Facilities Spain, oversee smaller international sites through local partners, and build the team capability needed as OQC scales.\nWorking closely with Security, IT and Engineering, you’ll establish consistent global standards while empowering regional leaders to deliver locally.\nThis role involves regular international travel, presence at key sites and major projects, and working across time zones. Significant facilities incidents or site emergencies may require availability outside standard hours.\nWhat You'll Be Working On\nSet the global Facilities direction. Define the strategy, operating model, standards and performance measures, giving senior leadership clear visibility of delivery, spend and risk.\nShape our global estate. Translate growth plans into property decisions, from new locations and serviced offices to lease renewals, relocations, exits and major investments.\nDeliver expansion and workplace programmes. Lead facilities planning, fit-outs and operational readiness, integrating cross-functional requirements and ensuring a clear handover into day-to-day operations.\nBuild and lead the function. Coach regional managers, strengthen local accountability, and plan recruitment, development and succession to support future growth.\nOwn budgets and commercial performance. Lead operational and capital forecasting, prioritise investment, and hold suppliers and landlords accountable for value and service delivery.\n Lead health, safety and environmental (HSE) governance and resilience. Set global minimum standards, oversee assurance and risk escalation, and ensure business continuity and emergency plans are established and tested, with regional leaders accountable for local implementation.\nAdvance environmental performance. Embed sustainability considerations into estate decisions, energy use, waste, supplier choices and building operations, identifying specialist support where needed.\nWhat We're Looking For\nA track record of leading a multi-site Facilities or workplace function in complex operational environments, with the adaptability to respond as a business grows.\nFacilities experience across multiple countries or jurisdictions, or experience establishing international offices and serviced-office locations.\nExperience leading through managers, internal teams and external suppliers, with strong coaching, resource planning and performance management skills.\nOwnership of substantial operational and capital budgets, backed by sound commercial judgement and experience managing complex contracts, supplier and landlord relationships.\nExperience shaping estate or workplace strategy and delivering major cross-functional projects, including leases, relocations, site openings or significant workplace change.\nExperience leading or overseeing HSE governance and working closely with specialist HSE professionals.\nStrong strategic planning, stakeholder influence and communication skills, with the judgement to balance competing priorities, manage risk and make timely decisions.\nRelevant Facilities, property or equivalent professional expertise gained through qualifications or practical experience.\nExperience building or scaling a Facilities function through rapid organisational growth.\nThe 'Nice-to-Haves'\nA background in technology, engineering, R&D or a similarly complex environment.\nContributions to environmental or sustainability programmes through property and facilities operations.\nA recognised Facilities Management qualification, or an IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent HSE qualification.\nWhy Join OQC\nYou will join a world-class team at the forefront of the next computational era.
