AI Ops Engineer
AI Acceleration is a product research initiative within the firm, building practical AI capability for the way work gets done. Its broader goal is to research, prototype, and scale useful AI capabilities for Oracle business units. Our work spans two connected areas: state-aware automation that moves complex workflows forward with the right context, controls, and handoffs; and AI enablement that helps teams complete everyday tasks more effectively. We are looking for an AI Ops Engineer who wants to help turn those ideas into useful, reliable tools.

We are looking for an AI Ops Engineer who wants to help turn those ideas into useful, reliable tools.
Role Summary
- Contribute to a product research initiative that builds and scales AI-enabled workflows and internal tools for Oracle business units.
- Turn internal business needs into structured, testable solutions that improve how work gets done.
- Create a practical, responsible path for AI adoption through visible, well-organized delivery.
- Bring clear, creative thinking, strong problem framing, and disciplined technical judgment.
What you will do
- Build state-aware AI automations, scripts, internal tools, and workflow components that preserve context and support clear handoffs.
- Turn standard operating procedures into usable handoffs, documentation, and AI-enabled workflow designs; prototype practical use cases for everyday work.
- Work fluently with LLMs and their artifacts - prompts, system instructions, evaluations, retrieval configurations, knowledge sources, and generated outputs - while validating quality and reliability.
- Consult directly with Oracle business units, using adoption metrics and personalized conversations to guide change and improve outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in AI, machine learning, computer science, data science, philosophy, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong programming and computer science foundations, including data structures, algorithms, and dynamic programming.
- Working knowledge of ML and LLM applications, linear algebra, matrices and tensors, visualization, numerical computation, and model evaluation.
- Ability to structure ambiguous work, manage priorities, communicate clearly, and apply sound judgment when using AI tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Git, cloud platforms, databases, REST APIs, MCPs, command-line tools, and LLM application development.
- Experience with GPU-based computation, directed acyclic graph workflows, development operations, or AI workflow automation.
- Experience with repository and artifact management, documentation systems, agile delivery, or high-volume work management.
- Experience translating processes into handoffs, supporting technology adoption, or advising internal business stakeholders.
What Success Looks like
- Deliver well-scoped AI-enabled improvements independently and maintain a clear, structured work plan.
- Help Oracle business units identify credible AI use cases and translate operating procedures into clear handoffs.
- Build repeatable patterns for LLM-enabled workflows, documentation, and responsible AI adoption.
- Use adoption measures and stakeholder conversations to improve how solutions are understood and used.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $114,600 to $234,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
