Relocation assistance may be available in accordance with Oracle's relocation policies.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead daily operations, maintenance, and service execution for critical mechanical and HVAC infrastructure.\n\nOwn mechanical plant readiness, including preventive maintenance, corrective work, inspections, restoration activities, and maintenance backlog management.\n\nServe as the primary site point of contact and technical lead for mechanical systems, including incident escalation and operational decision support.\n\nManage Facilities Technicians, contractors, and service vendors, ensuring strong safety performance, quality of work, documentation rigor, and SLA adherence.\n\nDrive troubleshooting and response for mechanical failures, abnormal conditions, and performance degradation impacting uptime or operational stability.\n\nTrack and improve KPIs such as equipment availability, backlog health, MTTR, repeat failures, maintenance completion, and corrective action closure.\n\nPartner with engineering, commissioning, deployment, reliability, and controls teams on retrofits, upgrades, system turnover, and operational acceptance.\n\nLead or support root cause analysis for major or recurring issues and ensure corrective actions are fully implemented, verified, and sustained.\n\nMaintain audit-ready records including procedures, service reports, maintenance history, turnover documentation, and CMMS data.\n\nChampion safe work practices, environmental compliance, and disciplined process execution across all mechanical operations.\n\nCoach and develop technicians and frontline leads to strengthen troubleshooting capability, technical depth, and execution consistency.\n\nSupport the Site Operations Director with status reporting, risk visibility, staffing readiness, and operational improvement initiatives for the mechanical plant.\n\nQualifications\n5-8 years of experience in mechanical plant operations, HVAC service, critical cooling maintenance, or related uptime-critical environments such as data centers, healthcare, industrial plants, semiconductor, or large commercial facilities.\n\n1-3+ years of experience leading technicians, maintenance teams, or service providers in a live operational environment.\n\nStrong knowledge of chilled water systems, cooling towers, pumps, CRAHs, AHUs, CDUs, and related controls platforms.\n\nExperience managing vendors, maintenance programs, incident response, and service execution in 24x7 operations.\n\nFamiliarity with BMS, SCADA, DCIM, and CMMS tools.\n\nExperience supporting commissioning, turnover, or operational acceptance of new or upgraded mechanical systems is preferred.\n\nSkills and Competencies\nStrong troubleshooting judgment and calm decision-making under pressure.\n\nDeep commitment to safety, procedure adherence, and documentation rigor.\n\nClear communicator able to translate plant conditions, risks, and actions for varied stakeholders.\n\nStrong planning and execution discipline across maintenance, backlog, and operational priorities.\n\nAbility to lead technicians and vendors while reinforcing accountability and consistent field execution.\n\nPreferred Skills / Certifications\nExperience with mission-critical cooling infrastructure and redundancy strategies in high-availability environments.\n\nFamiliarity with predictive maintenance, trend analysis, controls integration, and operational performance monitoring.\n\nEPA Section 608 Certification preferred where refrigerant-handling responsibilities apply.\n\nHVAC trade license, mechanical certification, or equivalent technical qualification where applicable.\n\nOEM or manufacturer training on chillers, cooling systems, pumps, cooling towers, CRAH/CRAC systems, or related controls platforms preferred.\n\nOSHA 30 preferred.\n\nPhysical Demands / Work Environment\nThis is a mission-critical onsite role supporting 24/7 operations where continuous uptime is essential; as such, regular attendance, schedule flexibility, and response readiness are required. To perform these duties, you must be able to frequently walk, bend, kneel, crouch, push/pull objects, and climb stairs. You may be required to lift or move up to 39 pounds independently and participate in group lifts for loads 40 pounds or greater. You must also be capable of maintaining balance while working from ladders or elevated platforms.
