Periodic travel may be required to conduct needs assessments, observe job performance, support pilot delivery, collaborate with site stakeholders, and evaluate training effectiveness.\n\nOpportunity and ImpactThis is an opportunity to help build a technical training organization from the ground up. The Instructional Designer will play a central role in defining how Oracle develops, qualifies, and advances its critical facilities workforce-creating learning programs that directly influence site readiness, operational consistency, employee capability, and the long-term maturity of the data center operations organization.\n\n Key Responsibilities\nDesign and develop role-based curricula and qualification pathways for critical facilities operations personnel.\nPartner with technical SMEs to analyze job tasks, performance requirements, knowledge gaps, and training needs.\nTranslate complex technical information into clear, practical learning experiences for adult learners.\nDevelop instructor-led, virtual, digital, blended, and hands-on learning solutions.\nCreate course outlines, facilitator guides, participant materials, job aids, technical references, and performance-support tools.\nDevelop written assessments, practical evaluations, knowledge checks, and qualification criteria.\nApply instructional design methodologies to ensure training is measurable, repeatable, and aligned with operational outcomes.\nSupport training required for new-site launches, commissioning, equipment turnover, employee onboarding, remediation, and continuing development.\nMaintain curriculum governance, version control, review cycles, and standardized templates.\nIncorporate operational lessons learned, procedure changes, equipment updates, and learner feedback into training revisions.\nCoordinate pilot delivery, collect performance data, and improve programs based on measurable results.\nSupport learning management system administration, course assignment, completion tracking, and reporting as needed.\nManage multiple concurrent development projects while balancing launch dates, operational priorities, and stakeholder requirements.\nHelp establish common instructional design standards and development processes for the Training Center of Excellence\nRequired Qualifications\nExperience designing and developing technical, operational, or workforce training programs.\nDemonstrated knowledge of adult-learning principles and instructional design methodologies.\nExperience creating instructor-led, digital, virtual, or blended learning solutions.\nExperience developing assessments and measuring learning effectiveness.\nStrong writing, editing, facilitation, and visual-communication skills.\nAbility to learn complex technical concepts and convert them into clear, structured instruction.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with SMEs and challenge or clarify technical content when needed.\nStrong project-management, organization, and stakeholder-management skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a rapidly evolving environment.\nProficiency with common learning-development, presentation, and content-authoring tools.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting data centers, critical facilities, utilities, manufacturing, engineering, aviation,\nenergy, or another technically complex operating environment.\nExperience developing competency-based qualification or certification programs.\nExperience creating practical performance evaluations and hands-on training materials.\nFamiliarity with learning management systems, curriculum governance, and training analytics.\nExperience supporting new-site launches, workforce ramps, or rapidly growing organizations.\nRelevant degree or professional certification in instructional design, education, organizational development, learning technology, or a related field.\n Disclaimer:Certain U.S. based or U.S. customer or client-facing roles may be required to comply with applicable requirements, such as immunization/occupational health mandates, and/or drug testing requirements.\nRange and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only\nUS: Hiring Range in USD from: $91,400 to $187,000 per annum.
