You would dig deep into the existing systems, unearth step-level improvements and issues, innovate from within and transform and create new architectures. You would be expected to collaborate with key stakeholders across OCI to prototype, evangelize and secure buy-for your solution. In addition, you will provide technical guidance and oversight across the compute organization in the design and delivery of OCI wide initiatives at the SVP level.\nWith your outstanding technical, research and analytical capabilities and demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively to dig deep, innovate within well-established systems and define new architectures alike, you’ll partner with the existing leaders in the organization to take these critical services to the next level of scale. Making these deep architectural changes calls for an outstanding builder, mentor, and technical leader with an established industry track record of success in leading large cloud scale projects.\n Specific responsibilities include:\nProvide technical leadership in the team for an organization of approximately 250 engineers and program managers.\n\nTake responsibility for strategic architectures, innovative redesign and improvements in the larger OCI.\n\nLead by example, influence, and empowerment. Foster a growth mindset and a culture of teamwork, high expectations, ownership, and technical excellence within the team.\n\nEnsure that everything we do is kept at a high operational bar, with specific focus on availability and resiliency.\n\nDesign and build customer-facing cloud services that are scalable, reliable, performant and deliver significant business impact.\n\nRegular communication with C-level executives, including technology reviews, and develop senior-level customer & partner relationships as required.\n\nPreferred Skills and Experience\nExceptional communication skills, technically fearless and a strong product sense with the ability to seek and absorb business context, lead, and develop engineering culture, and exhibit good judgement exercised through developed critical thinking.\n\nKnowledge or experience in cloud infrastructures, host-level design, and the software and services that support these.\n\n12+ years’ experience delivering and operating large scale, highly available distributed systems.\n\nStrong knowledge of C, C++ or Java, and experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, etc.\n\nStrong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.\n\n Disclaimer:Certain U.S. based or U.S. customer or client-facing roles may be required to comply with applicable requirements, such as immunization/occupational health mandates, and/or drug testing requirements.\nRange and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only\nUS: Hiring Range in USD from: $169,800 to $355,400 per annum.
