Job Summary\nAs a Principal Software Engineer, you will design, build, and scale complex cloud-based applications and services that power Oracle Health Data Intelligence products. You’ll be responsible for defining system architecture, developing robust and secure applications, and mentoring junior engineers. This role demands a deep technical understanding, strong problem-solving abilities, and a passion for building impactful software that drives the healthcare industry forward.\n3. Qualifications & Skills\nMandatory:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.\n8+ years of hands-on experience in software development.\nProficiency in Java and any Major java script framework for application development.\nStrong experience with Relational Databases (SQL, MySQL).\nExperience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.\nExperience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).\nKnowledge of microservices architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).\nSolid understanding of software design principles, distributed systems, and cloud-based architectures.\nStrong problem-solving and debugging skills.\nExcellent communication and collaboration abilities.\nKey Responsibilities\nApplication Software Development:\nDrives feature development within an application.\n\nProvides global production support to cloud-based applications as needed for critical issues by applying a working knowledge of at least one specialty area.\n\nTroubleshoots and debugs routine and non-routine Oracle applications services and Oracle Cloud infrastructure, end-user application integrations, or acquisitions.\n\nPartners across QA and engineering teams to discuss changes impacting an application's functionality and ensures quality and consistency across specific applications.\n\nConsiders designs of the existing software architecture when developing code for applications.\n\nTranslates requirements and features into a structured, scalable, maintainable, and performant code plan for an application.\n\nContributes to establishing the dependencies (e.g., API) associated with the functionality of an application.\n\nDiscusses application requirements with the customer while considering scalability and reliability, and recommends build priorities within teams and defines build priorities within team.\n\nReferences and shares other sources of feedback (e.g., online forums, live site maintenance reports) to refine application requirements.\n\nCollaborates with Designers, Product Managers, Software Engineers, and stakeholders when evaluating and integrating customer specifications and business requirements.\n\nSoftware Development and Coding - Design, Testing, and Optimization:\nDesigns software solutions and analyzes and identifies requirements to achieve business and operational goals, sharing results with manager upon completion.\n\nAdheres to and improves execution of all phases of the software development lifecycle; provides guidance and coaching to engineers to drive improvements.\n\nUtilizes advanced knowledge to develop and guide new software features and enhancements leading design specifications, ensuring accessibility, and develops documents to clarify software design and code.\n\nLeads code reviews in multiple areas to help drive improvements.\n\nConducts debugging and troubleshooting to identify and fix complex software issues.\n\nDevelops fixes for identified issues.\n\nImplements comprehensive software testing (e.g., functional and non-functional testing), quality assurance processes, software error logging, monitoring, and observability for effective debugging, sharing work with manager and/or lead upon completion.\n\nConducts performance profiling and optimization of coding, building scalable solutions, and anticipating and resolving potential outcomes.\n\nTroubleshoots and resolves complex issues related to application programming interface (API) functionality and integration. Implements complex API versioning, lifecycle, and interoperability strategies.\n\nSoftware Architecture - Software System Structural Design:\nImplements and contributes to developing software, systems, and services, ensuring review by manager and/or senior technical leaders upon completion.
