They are curious, collaborative, and passionate about solving challenging infrastructure problems through software.\nRequired Qualifications\nSoftware Engineering\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.\nStrong software engineering experience in Python, Java, Go, or Rust.\nExperience designing scalable APIs, distributed systems, and service-oriented architectures.\nDesign software architectures that emphasize modularity, extensibility, maintainability, and long-term operational sustainability.\nExperience building and operating production engineering platforms.\nExperience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern software development practices.\nExperience supporting Linux-based production environments.\nExperience designing highly available, resilient, and observable systems.\nExperience using AI-assisted engineering tools such as Oracle AI, GitHub Copilot, Codex, ChatGPT Enterprise, or similar technologies to improve software development, automation, documentation, and engineering productivity.\nInfrastructure Engineering and Networking\nStrong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, IPv4, IPv6, DNS, and DHCP.\nExperience with hyperscale cloud, data center, or service provider networking environments.\nFamiliarity with Ethernet switching platforms, network fabrics, optical networking, and large-scale infrastructure deployments.\nExperience with network automation technologies such as YANG, OpenConfig, NETCONF, gNMI, or similar frameworks.\nUnderstanding of infrastructure observability, telemetry, monitoring, and operational analytics.\nPreferred Experience\nBuilding and operating hyperscale cloud infrastructure.\nDeveloping software for infrastructure automation, platform engineering, or developer platforms.\nExperience designing workflow orchestration systems, distributed state machines, or long-running infrastructure automation.\nSupporting AI or GPU data center deployments.\nDesigning and maintaining engineering platforms used by large operational organizations.\nRoot cause analysis and production incident response.\nInfrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management.\nVendor collaboration and platform integration.\nDriving engineering excellence through automation and continuous improvement.\nWork Environment\nThis role is primarily focused on software development and platform engineering while working closely with Network Engineering teams.
