We value engineers who use AI-assisted development thoughtfully while remaining accountable for the correctness, security, and maintainability of their work\n Responsibilities\nTranslate business and customer requirements into clear technical designs, identifying dependencies, edge cases, and implementation tradeoffs.\nOwn the delivery of features and improvements across design, coding, testing, release, and production support.\nDevelop and maintain services, APIs, database-backed applications, and user-facing capabilities with attention to reliability, security, performance, and scalability.\nInvestigate complex issues, understand unfamiliar code, and improve existing systems through practical, incremental changes.\nUse approved AI-assisted tools to support code exploration, implementation, testing, debugging, and documentation. Independently validate generated output and remain accountable for its correctness and quality.\nBuild quality into development through automated tests, code reviews, and validation of data integrity, backward compatibility, and performance.\nCollaborate with product management, UX, QA, and other engineering teams to clarify scope, resolve dependencies, and deliver useful customer outcomes.\nContribute to technical decisions, explain tradeoffs, and identify opportunities to simplify architecture and reduce technical debt.\nMentor engineers through constructive feedback, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.\nImprove development workflows through automation and AI, assessing benefits through delivery effectiveness, quality, and maintainability.\n\nRequired qualifications\n5+ years of professional software development experience, including independently delivering features or substantial system improvements.\nStrong proficiency in Java or a comparable object-oriented programming language, such as C# or Python.\nSolid understanding of software design, data structures, algorithms, and debugging.\nStrong SQL and relational database skills, including data modeling, transactions, query optimization, and troubleshooting.\nExperience developing web applications or services, with an understanding of how browser, service, API, and database layers interact.\nAbility to design maintainable solutions and evaluate tradeoffs involving performance, reliability, complexity, and delivery effort.\nExperience with automated testing, version control, code reviews, and continuous integration.\nAbility to use AI-assisted development tools effectively, or learn them quickly, while critically reviewing their output and following security and data-handling requirements.\nClear communication skills and experience collaborating across functions and mentoring engineers.\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with ERP, financial, or other enterprise business applications.\nFamiliarity with NetSuite and SuiteScript.\nExperience building or supporting distributed systems and diagnosing production performance or reliability issues.\nExperience with JavaScript, TypeScript, or modern frontend development.\nExperience integrating AI capabilities into applications using model APIs, retrieval, or tool integrations, including evaluating output quality and handling failures.\nExamples of improving engineering productivity or software quality through automation and AI-assisted
