Based in Thailand and aligned with JAPAC delivery priorities, the Senior Manager, Data Center Facilities Development provides hands-on leadership for complex data center construction, expansion, retrofit, and customer-driven projects. The role establishes clear project controls, manages risks and dependencies, and ensures facilities are ready to support business, network, commissioning, and operational requirements.
The successful candidate will bring 8-10 years of construction, project delivery, or facility-development experience, ideally within data centers or other mission-critical environments. They must have demonstrated experience managing and developing people, as well as strong capabilities in construction delivery, project controls, stakeholder management, safety, quality, and operational readiness.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of data center facility development projects, including new builds, expansions, retrofits, and customer-driven work.
- Develop and manage integrated project plans, schedules, milestones, readiness gates, budgets, risks, dependencies, and recovery actions.
- Ensure delivery aligns with business commitments, including Early Access, RFS, energisation, network readiness, commissioning, and customer turn-up.
- Establish disciplined governance across schedule, cost, change control, quality, risk, contractor performance, and handover.
- Partner with Real Estate/Facilities Development, Design, Network, Commissioning, Operations, PMO, Contracts, QS, Procurement, contractors, consultants, and customers.
- Identify and resolve critical-path constraints, delivery risks, and cross-functional dependencies; escalate material issues with clear recommendations.
- Champion compliance with applicable safety, site, company, and local regulatory requirements.
- Drive quality assurance, inspections, defect management, system completion, commissioning readiness, and operational handover.
- Directly manage, coach, and develop Construction Managers, Project Managers, and project-controls personnel.
- Plan team capacity and resource allocation to support the Thailand delivery pipeline and changing business priorities.
- Implement consistent delivery practices, reporting rhythms, templates, and lessons learned across the local team.
- Provide accurate, concise, and timely delivery reporting to country and regional leadership.
