Authors and curates team-scoped documentation, samples, and adoption guidance.\nAbout the Team & Organization\nOracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a Senior Platform Software Engineer to join the Secure Network Engineering team, focusing on the design, development, and integration of Zero Trust Network Services and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solutions.\nIn this role, you will help build and operate secure, scalable cloud infrastructure services that support OCI's distributed, multi-tenant environment. You will work on network security technologies, including network routing, firewalls, key-based authentication, and cloud service-level authorization, to strengthen infrastructure security and reduce exposure to cybersecurity threats.\nYou will collaborate with engineering teams to develop backend services, contribute to system design and architecture, review code, and explore emerging technologies that improve security, reliability, and operational efficiency.\nThe ideal candidate has strong software development skills, a solid understanding of networking protocols and Linux environments, and experience with cloud computing and Zero Trust security principles.\nWhy OCI?\nOracle Cloud Infrastructure provides enterprise cloud services across compute, storage, networking, databases, and security, supporting mission-critical workloads in distributed cloud environments.\nThe Secure Network Engineering team is developing Zero Trust Network Service and PKI Infrastructure Services to strengthen network security through identity-based authentication, authorization, and secure access controls.\nThis role provides an opportunity to work on cloud infrastructure security challenges involving distributed systems, network security, and scalable backend engineering.\n Key Responsibilities\nPlatform Software Development:\nOwn a bounded platform component (service module, SDK area) and evolve its contracts for multi-tenant use.\nPerform deep debugging across a limited-service graph; drive compatibility-safe remediation plans.\nImplement targeted resilience/capacity patterns and document adoption guidance for team consumers.\nSoftware Development and Coding - Design, Testing, and Optimization:\nDesigns software solutions and analyzes and helps identify requirements to achieve business and operational goals, independently.\nAdheres to and suggests improvements to all phases of the software development lifecycle.\nUtilizes working knowledge to develop new software features and enhancements following design specifications and develops documents to clarify software design and code.\nLeads code reviews in designated areas to help drive improvements.\nConducts debugging and troubleshooting to identify and fix moderately complex software issues.
