Merino is OCI’s internal CI/CD change workflow platform, orchestrating build, validation, change management, and deployment across OCI.\n Key Responsibilities\n· Design, implement, and operate Merino platform capabilities for OCI-scale CI/CD and change workflow orchestration.\n· Own implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, operational readiness, and production support for platform services.\n· Improve workflow reliability, deployment safety, scalability, observability, and developer experience.\n· Build systems integrating build, release bundle, change management, approval, rollback, and deployment workflows.\n· Break down complex platform problems into clear, maintainable engineering solutions.\n· Contribute to high standards for code quality, system design, operational excellence, and maintainability.\n· Use production signals and customer feedback to identify and prioritize platform improvements.\n· Participate in design reviews, code reviews, debugging, and technical planning.\n· Partner with engineering and product teams to deliver reliable Merino platform capabilities.\n· Apply AI-assisted and agentic coding workflows effectively while maintaining engineering rigor.\nRequired Qualifications\n· 5+ years of software engineering experience building distributed systems, developer platforms, CI/CD systems, infrastructure automation, or cloud services.\n· Strong programming skills in Java, TypeScript, Python, Go, or similar languages.\n· Experience operating reliable cloud services in OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP.\n· Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, release automation, IaC, containers, orchestration, or deployment pipelines.\n· Ability to work through ambiguity and deliver maintainable solutions across complex systems.\n· Strong communication and collaboration skills.\nPreferred Experience\n· Hands-on use of Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or similar agentic coding tools.\n· Experience using AI-generated code with strong review, testing, and ownership of production quality.\n· Experience using AI to explore codebases, generate tests, refactor systems, improve documentation, or accelerate migrations.\n· Experience building internal engineering platforms with a strong focus on developer experience and reliability.\n· Experience with release orchestration, progressive rollout, rollback validation, and large-scale production deployments.\nWhy Oracle Cloud and Merino?\nMerino sits at the center of OCI software delivery.
