We’re looking for a Senior Technical Operations Engineer to support OCI’s sovereign realms in the EU. Join a team of dynamic, hands-on operations engineers and make your mark on the future of technology.\n What you’ll do\nSupport OCI’s sovereign realms. You’ll be part of a dynamic team with a broad knowledge of how Oracle’s cloud platform works. You’ll partner with customer support, service owners, and engineering teams around the globe to ensure high-quality service for customers across the EU. Note - this role is not a Monday to Friday core hours role - it will involve working a 24/7 shift rotation, including nights, weekends and public holidays. (See “Shift Format” section, later in this document).\nAct as an internal point of contact for one or more sovereign realm(s)\nOperate and perform maintenance for over 250 OCI services\nMonitor auto-cut alerts and troubleshoot through the use of runbooks\nComplete change requests to enable new functionality and maintain realm compliance\nEnsure timely resolution of incidents, service requests, and change requests\nCollaborate with global service and engineering teams\nApply and improve incident and problem management processes to resolve major incidents\nShare knowledge and mentor other team members\nSuggest and document process improvements\nWe also use:\nLinux and Unix operating systems\nDocker, Kubernetes, and Terraform\nScripting languages such as Shell, Perl, Python, Java, and Go\nRequirements\nReside in Romania\nTechnology related bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience\nA desire to learn and keep up with modern technologies\nKnowledge of Linux and/or Unix operating systems\nKnowledge of cloud computing concepts\nExperience working in a mission-critical environment (Operations, Technical Support, NOC etc)\nExperience executing tasks under change management procedures\nExperience resolving auto-cut and manual alarms following runbooks\nA focus on customer satisfaction\nWhat we’ll offer you\nA competitive salary with exciting benefits\nFlexible and remote working so you can do your best work\nLearning and development opportunities to advance your career\nAn Employee Assistance Program to support your mental health\nEmployee resource groups that champion our diverse communities\nCore benefits such as medical, life insurance, and access to retirement planning\nAn inclusive culture that celebrates what makes you unique\nShift Format:\nThis role is not a Monday to Friday core hours role. You will be assigned to a shift rotas of either (1) Sunday to Thursday or (2) Tuesday to Saturday.
