This role requires a strong understanding of surgical procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.\nEssential Functions: \nPatient Care & Experience\nEnsure all patients receive the highest quality of care and service.\nCommunicate with patients in a friendly, professional manner, both in person and by phone.\nMaintain positive, professional relationships with patients, staff, and surgeons.\nAssist with postoperative care, including patient education and follow-up instructions.\nMonitor patient vital signs during surgical procedures and provide support as needed.\nClinical & Surgical Support\nAssist oral surgeons during surgical procedures.\nPrepare instruments, materials, and equipment required for surgical procedures.\nSupport adherence to best practices, established protocols, and the highest patient safety standards.\nDocumentation & Compliance\nAccurately document patient encounters and surgical procedures.\nEnsure compliance with all company policies and regulatory standards.\nMaintain controlled substance safety protocols and documentation.\nOffice Operations & Safety\nSupport a clean, professional clinical environment, including:\nClean and stocked operatories\nMaintained equipment and adequate supplies\nSupport monthly office safety and compliance checks, including:\nCrash carts\nFire extinguishers\nEmergency preparedness attestations\nX-ray unit calibration\nOmni-cam calibration\nControlled substance inventory and drug book accuracy\nOxygen tank readiness\nPrinting and maintaining controlled substance invoices\nTeam Collaboration & Professionalism\nPromote a collaborative work environment focused on teamwork, efficiency, and exceptional patient care.\nAttend and actively participate in team meetings.\nQualifications: \nEducation/Certification:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required (some college, preferred)\nBasic life support certification required. Employers will provide training if the candidate is not current.\nExperience:\nPrevious dental experience - Preferred not required\nExperience as an oral surgery assistant or dental assistant is preferred.
