To design, develop and deliver competitive and innovative customer-centric offers and services.\n\nMain Duties and Responsibilities\n\nDeploy and optimize Intelligent Network (IN) systems, supporting services like prepaid/postpaid billing, value-added services (VAS), and SMS/voice services.\n\nImplement and support service platforms such as Provisioning Systems, eRecharge, and Loyalty Management Systems, ensuring smooth operation and performance.\n\nContribute to the design, development, and execution of offers for B2B and B2C customers, ensuring alignment with business objectives.\n\nCollaborate with product management, sales, and marketing teams to define technical requirements and scope for new offers and services.\n\nSupport and implement integrations with billing platforms, working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless connectivity.\n\nAssist in managing system upgrades to keep service platforms secure, up-to date, and compliant with industry standards.\n\nConduct and document technical testing of new service platforms and integrations, ensuring functionality before launch.\n\nFacilitate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business teams such as Marketing, Sales, and Orange Money (OM).\n\nMaintain documentation for changes, solutions, and configurations.\n\nSupport the transition of newly deployed business solutions and integrations to operations team, providing necessary documentation and guidance.\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to service platforms, working with operations and development teams to implement solutions.\n\nParticipate in technical discussions on service platform development and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nProvide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.\n\nPerform any other tasks as assigned by management to support business objectives.\n\nSkills and Requirements\n\nFamiliarity with 3G/4G/5G core network architecture and service delivery platforms.\n\nGood knowledge of intelligent network (IN) platforms.\n\nExperience in collaborating with vendors and working with third-party service providers.\n\nAbility to work with confidential information.\n\nGood time management, organizational & project management skills.\n\nAbility to analyse and work within complex customer environments, designing and implementing tailored solutions that align with business needs.\n\nProficiency in scripting languages (e.g Python, Bash, or similar) for automation and process optimization.\n\nStrong expertise in SQL.\n\nUnderstanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices, and containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).\n\nQualifications and Experience\n\nMinimum 2 years’ experience in a telecommunications environment with emphasis on billing and charging platforms.\n\nMasters degree in Computer Science, IT, Telecommunication or related fields.\n\nApplication Details\nClosing date: 21st October 2026.\n\nKindly note, that Orange Botswana shall only correspond to short-listed candidates.\n\nData Protection Notice – Orange Botswana processes applicant data for recruitment purposes based on legitimate interest and pre-contractual necessity.
