The role also requires close collaboration with technical teams, business stakeholders, and solution architects to translate reporting requirements into efficient and maintainable data solutions.Key Responsibilities\nDesign and implement scalable data architectures using Microsoft Fabric, including:Fabric Lakehouse\nFabric Data Warehouse\nMicrosoft Fabric Data Factory\n\nDesign, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines.\nImplement CI/CD practices for data engineering workflows and deployment processes.\nDevelop advanced data models using:Star schema\nSnowflake schema\nData Vault\nOther dimensional and enterprise modeling approaches\n\nDesign and optimize data warehouse and lakehouse solutions for reporting and analytics.\nDevelop efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformation logic.\nWork with both relational and NoSQL databases.\nApply database optimization techniques, including query tuning, indexing, partitioning, and performance monitoring.\nBuild and maintain distributed data processing solutions using Apache Spark, Hadoop, and related big data technologies.\nDevelop and manage data workflows using Apache Airflow and other orchestration tools.\nIntegrate data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality, consistency, and traceability.\nCollaborate with reporting and analytics teams, including Power BI developers and business stakeholders.\nContribute to the definition and implementation of data security and compliance standards, including:Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)\nData masking\nData encryption\nSecure access management\nAuditing and data governance\n\nParticipate in architecture decisions and provide technical guidance to development teams.\nManage stakeholder expectations and communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nContribute to technical documentation, coding standards, development practices, and operational support.\nMentor junior and mid-level data engineers when required.\nAbout youRequired Qualifications and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.\nAt least 5 years of professional experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or related fields.\nStrong experience with Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse and Data Warehouse architecture.\nProven experience designing and implementing production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines.\nExperience with CI/CD for data engineering and analytics solutions.\nAdvanced knowledge of data modeling techniques, including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and Data Vault.\nStrong SQL development and database optimization skills.\nExperience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases.\nPractical knowledge of big data and distributed computing, including Hadoop and Apache Spark.\nExperience with Apache Airflow or similar data orchestration platforms.\nStrong programming and scripting skills in Python.\nExperience with Azure data services, such as Azure Data Factory and related Microsoft data platform technologies.\nExperience with Databricks and Spark-based data processing.\nUnderstanding of data security, governance, privacy, and compliance practices.\nExperience working with Power BI or supporting reporting and business intelligence solutions.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.\nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively within a development team.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMicrosoft certifications related to Azure Data Engineering, Fabric, or data analytics.\nExperience delivering enterprise reporting or business intelligence platforms.\nKnowledge of Microsoft Purview, data cataloging, lineage, and governance.\nExperience implementing automated data quality checks and monitoring.\nFamiliarity with infrastructure-as-code and automated deployment practices.\nExperience working in Agile or DevOps
