Make a difference for the world as part of a company leading the electric vehicle revolution.\nPosition Summary\nThe Senior Embedded Software Validation Engineer is responsible for the validation, verification, and testing of embedded vehicle control software for new and existing Orange EV products. This role focuses on ensuring software quality, reliability, and functional correctness across vehicle systems through structured validation strategies, simulation, and hands-on testing. The engineer will work closely with software development, systems, hardware, manufacturing, and supplier teams to validate vehicle functionality ranging from charging and operation to communication interfaces and remote drive capabilities. This is a fulltime, on-site role at the Orange EV facility in Kansas.\nPosition Responsibilities\nSoftware Validation & Testing\nPerform functional, integration, and regression testing of embedded control software across vehicle controllers and displays.\nDevelop, execute, and maintain test cases, test procedures, and validation documentation.\nIdentify gaps in existing test coverage and implement improvements to enhance overall software quality.\nSimulation & Test Infrastructure\nDevelop and implement simulation-based testing for embedded systems consisting of multiple interacting controllers.\nSupport validation activities using vehicle communication interfaces such as CAN and Ethernet.\nIssue Analysis & Production Support\nTroubleshoot software issues in new and existing products to determine root cause with minimal supervision.\nProvide on-site support for production software issues as required.\nCollaborate with internal teams to resolve defects efficiently and prevent recurrence.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nWork closely with software, hardware, and systems engineers to ensure seamless integration across vehicle subsystems, including propulsion, hydraulic, pneumatic, and cab systems.\nInterface with suppliers to support firmware updates and improvements.\nCollaborate with sales and product teams to understand customer requirements and validation needs.\nProject & Process Execution\nCommunicate validation progress and issues using internal project management and tracking tools.\nEnsure validation activities meet defined performance, quality, cost, and timing requirements.\nSupport continuous improvement of validation processes and methodologies.\nPosition Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in electrical, electronic or Computer Engineering from an accredited university or other Engineering degree with relevant industry experience\nAt least 5-7 years’ experience working with embedded systems\nFamiliar with vehicle communication interfaces and tools like CAN, Ethernet etc.\nExperience with HIL testing environment is highly recommended. \nStrong interpersonal skills\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to work well independently and with a team\nProficiency with Python and C programming languages\nIdeal Candidates Will Also Have\nPrevious product development experience of Heavy Equipment\nExperience with development for functional safety standards -
