Consultant:\nData Integration Architecture\nAssess existing data and integration landscapes and identify opportunities for improvement.\n\nDesign and implement secure, scalable and maintainable integration solutions.\n\nDefine integration patterns and approaches for synchronous, asynchronous and event-driven architectures.\n\nContribute to the design of modern data platforms and data exchange mechanisms.\n\nSupport the definition of target architectures, migration strategies and implementation roadmaps.\n\nEnsure that architecture and design decisions address security, regulatory, reliability and performance requirements, particularly in mission-critical environments.\n\nSolution Delivery\nDesign, develop and maintain integration services, APIs and data pipelines using technologies such as Python, Java and SQL/SQL Server.\n\nDesign and develop APIs, including using frameworks such as FastAPI.\n\nImplement and support real-time data streaming and messaging solutions using Kafka.\n\nConfigure, manage and optimise APIs using API Management Platforms, ideally Gravitee.\n\nContribute to real-time and batch data exchange solutions as well as ETL/ELT processes and data transformation.\n\nDeploy, monitor and maintain integration components in containerised environments, particularly OpenShift and Kubernetes.\n\nWork with enterprise integration technologies such as Talend ESB, Apache Camel or equivalent platforms.\n\nEnsure solutions meet security, compliance, reliability and performance requirements.\n\nTroubleshoot complex integration issues and provide technical guidance to project teams and less experienced colleagues.\n\nContribute to the design, implementation and support of business-critical and mission-critical services.\n\nStakeholder Collaboration\nGather, analyse and document functional and technical requirements with business and technical stakeholders.\n\nTranslate business needs into actionable technical solutions and recommendations.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional client teams to deliver scalable integration solutions.\n\nProduce high-quality technical documentation, architecture diagrams, integration workflows and presentation materials.\n\nCommunicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.\n\nAct as a bridge between business requirements, architecture and technical implementation.\n\nConsulting & Continuous Improvement\nContribute to client assessments, technical recommendations and transformation initiatives.\n\nAdvise clients on integration architecture, APIs, data exchange and modernization approaches.\n\nPromote best practices in integration, API management, data management and software engineering.\n\nSupport knowledge sharing and the development of reusable assets, integration patterns and methodologies.\n\nStay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends in application integration, data management and AI-enabled software engineering.\n\nAI-Assisted Delivery\nUse AI-based tools in a pragmatic and responsible manner to:\nAccelerate development, testing and documentation activities.\n\nSupport the analysis of incidents, logs and performance data.\n\nSupport coding, automation and technical problem-solving through AI-assisted development approaches.\n\nImprove productivity while maintaining strong engineering, security and quality standards.\n\nCritically evaluate, test and validate AI-generated outputs.\n\nContribute where relevant to emerging AI integration approaches and standards, including Model Context Protocol (MCP) and natural-language-assisted development.\n\nAs an ideal candidate you have:\n5+ years of hands-on experience in application and/or data integration.\n\nStrong experience delivering integration projects in complex enterprise environments.\n\nExperience within banking, financial services or other highly regulated industries.\n\nExperience contributing to large-scale transformation or modernization initiatives.\n\nExperience designing, implementing and supporting business-critical or mission-critical systems.\n\nProven ability to design and implement secure, scalable integration solutions.\n\nStrong technical expertise across most of the following areas:\nApplication and data integration principles.\n\nPython and Java for integration development.\n\nSQL and SQL Server for data handling and transformation.\n\nAPI design and development.\n\nFastAPI or comparable API development frameworks.\n\nAPI management platforms, ideally Gravitee.\n\nEvent-driven and microservices architectures.\n\nEvent streaming and messaging platforms, particularly Kafka.\n\nEnterprise Integration Patterns.\n\nIntegration platforms such as Talend ESB, Apache Camel or equivalent.\n\nReal-time and batch data processing.\n\nETL/ELT and data transformation techniques.\n\nData security, access management and compliance principles.\n\nCloud-native and containerized environments.\n\nContainer orchestration platforms, particularly OpenShift and Kubernetes.\n\nAI-assisted software development, testing and documentation.\n\nExperience or familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and its use in connecting AI-enabled solutions with enterprise systems and data is an advantage.\nYou also bring:\nStrong analytical and problem-solving
