From selecting the right optics and illumination to developing inspection algorithms, operator interfaces and machine software, you'll contribute to every stage of the development of our systems.\nIf you're passionate about machine vision, enjoy working across disciplines and like seeing your software running on real machines, we'd love to meet you.\nTasks\nYour mission\nAs part of our engineering team, you will design and develop complete industrial vision solutions integrated into automated machines.\nYou will be responsible for the complete lifecycle of vision applications, from feasibility studies and hardware selection to software development, validation and commissioning.\nIndustrial Vision\nAnalyse customer requirements and assess technical feasibility.\nDesign complete machine vision solutions for inspection, measurement and guidance applications.\nSelect and integrate cameras, optics, lighting and vision sensors.\nDevelop robust 2D and 3D image processing algorithms.\nDesign and deploy AI-based inspection algorithms when appropriate.\nCalibrate, validate and optimize complete vision systems.\nCommission, tune and troubleshoot prototype and production machines.\nAnalyse false rejects and process instabilities, implementing corrective actions.\nDefine validation procedures and participate in FAT.\nSoftware Development\nDevelop modern web applications for machine configuration, production monitoring and operator interfaces.\nDevelop software modules interacting with industrial cameras, PLCs, robots and automation equipment.\nDesign maintainable and scalable software architectures.\nDevelop engineering tools for testing, diagnostics and validation.\nContribute to software quality through testing, documentation and code reviews.\nLeverage AI-assisted development tools while maintaining engineering excellence.\nRequirements\nYour profile\n3-7 years developing industrial vision systems for special-purpose machinery, industrial automation or custom machine manufacturing.\nHands-on experience with Keyence, Cognex, HALCON or equivalent.\nStrong understanding of optics, illumination, industrial cameras and image acquisition.\nPython development.\nIndustrial software (PLC) and modern web application development.\nAutonomous, analytical and collaborative.\nFluent English..\n100% on site in Ecublens (VD).\nNice to have\nPyTorch / TensorFlow\n3D vision\nReact / TypeScript\nC++\nGit / CI/CD\nBenefits\nDesign complete industrial vision systems from concept to commissioning.\nMultidisciplinary environment.\nTechnical autonomy.\nShort decision paths.\nState-of-the-art technologies.\nCompetitive salary and social benefits.\nJoin Oratek as a Industrial Vision & Software Engineer and collaborate with a visionary, multidisciplinary team in Switzerland.
