Our spacecraft perform multiple orbital mission profiles and return safely to Earth through hypersonic atmospheric reentry and landing with pinpoint accuracy for rapid refurbishment and reuse.\nRole Description\nWe are looking for a Junior to Mid-Level Avionics Engineer to join our avionics team to support the design, development, integration, and qualification of avionics systems for our reusable orbital logistics vehicles.\nThe role covers avionics architecture, on-board computers, electronic hardware, EEE parts selection, harnessing, electrical and data interfaces, EGSE, and verification activities. The engineer will work closely with systems, GNC, software, mechanical, and AIT teams to develop reliable avionics solutions for reusable spacecraft and support them from design through integration, testing, and qualification.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport the definition, design, and development of our spacecraft and systems' avionics architecture.\nContribute to the design, manufacturing, integration, and testing of on-board computers, avionics hardware and electrical interfaces.\nContribute to the selection of electronic components, units, sensors, actuators, connectors, and EEE parts\nSupport harness design, routing, connector selection, pinout definition, and interface control.\nManage electrical and data interfaces within spacecraft systems and between components\nSupport grounding, bonding, shielding, EMC/EMI, and electrical compatibility considerations\nSupport EGSE definition, development, integration, troubleshooting, and test automation\nParticipate in avionics integration, functional testing, environmental testing, and qualification campaigns.\nSupport debugging and root-cause analysis of avionics hardware, harnessing, and interface issues.\nWork with suppliers and internal teams to ensure avionics components meet technical and programmatic requirements.\nDevelop and maintain avionics documentation, including schematics, interface control documents, test procedures, and verification reports.\nContribute to design reviews, test readiness reviews, and qualification reviews.\nRequired Qualifications\n1-5 years of relevant professional experience in aerospace, automotive, or other high-performance industries.\nDegree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related technical field.\nExperience with spacecraft avionics systems, flight electronics, or electrical/data interfaces for spacecraft or aerospace applications.\nExperience with electronic design, hardware integration, or avionics testing.\nExperience with laboratory and system-level measurements using advanced test equipment\nExpertise in board-level design, including schematics, PCB layout, simulation, testing, and validation\nFamiliarity with harness design, electrical schematics, pinouts, grounding, shielding, and connector and components selection.\nFamiliarity with EEE components, component selection, derating, availability, and reliability considerations.\nKnowledge of common communication protocols and interfaces such as CAN, RS-422/485, UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, and SpaceWire.\nUnderstanding of verification and qualification processes for aerospace hardware.\nAbility to write clear technical documentation, test procedures, and reports.\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work hands-on during integration and testing activities.\nAbility to work effectively in multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nFull proficiency in English, written and spoken.\nPreferred Qualifications\nFamiliarity with aerospace industry standards such as ECSS, NASA, or MIL\nBasic proficiency with one or more programming languages such as Python and MATLAB.\nExperience in a startup or small-company environment with fast design iterations.\nExperience with spacecraft avionics systems, flight electronics, on-board computers, sensors, actuators, or communication buses.\nFamiliarity with EGSE design, test automation, data acquisition, or lab instrumentation.\nExperience with environmental testing, EMC/EMI testing, vibration testing, or thermal-vacuum testing.\nFamiliarity with CAD or electrical design tools for schematics, harnessing, or PCB review.\nExpertise with radiation, thermal, vibration, and reliability constraints affecting electronic hardware in aerospace applications.\nExperience with supplier technical follow-up, component procurement, or hardware manufacturing support.\nGood proficiency in Spanish\nWhat We
