For more information, please visit www.orchid-ortho.com.\nSHIFT\nDET - Shift 1 ($0) (United States of America - Michigan)A BRIEF OVERVIEW\nThe Operations Technician, Masking, inspects incoming product, rejects, or approves product; attaches special tape or other material to the product to protect areas to be coating-free. This position requires hands-on craftsmanship and attention to detail.\nWHAT YOU WILL DO\nCompletes all required training.\nUse pallet jack, carts and tables to safely transport product.\nMaintain work area, tools and equipment in a clean and organized condition.\nFollow designated safety rules and regulations.\nSupport Lean Manufacturing and EHS initiatives.\nInspect work, using appropriate tools including, but not limited to; calipers, pin gauges, measuring instruments and surface plates, etc. as required.\nPerform daily/weekly/monthly housekeeping per 5S schedule.\nDetect and report faulty equipment, defective material and any unusual conditions to the department Supervisor or Lead.\nFollow work orders to perform operations on various parts and products\nReinforces safety expectations. Ensures safety operating practices are demonstrated. Reports issues/concerns to Supervisor.\nSupport quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS).\nDetect report faulty equipment, defective material and any unusual conditions to the department Supervisor or Lead.\nUtilize fine motor skills and superior eyesight to inspect incoming product, attach tape to protect areas specified by customer requirements.\nUse basic inspection gages such as calipers, micrometers, etc.\nComplete all required documents used during processing and verifies accuracy of documentation.\nAt all times, demonstrate proper handling of medical devices, equipment such as calipers, micrometers, scalpels, and other tools used including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment.\nAdhere to all safety rules at all times to ensure a safe workplace by wearing safety glasses in designated areas, proper use and storage of tools (scalpels) and reporting any unsafe condition(s) or practice(s) to management.\n EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS\nHigh School Or Equivalent (Preferred)\n EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS\nNo previous work experience required (Preferred)\nManufacturing Experience (Preferred)\nExperience working in an FDA regulatory environment.
