Orcrist is building a next generation data intelligence platform using cutting-edge technologies. We're handling petabyte-scale data with sub-second queries. Our product is a Kubernetes-based platform delivered as B2B SaaS or as a self-hosted on-prem solution, including air-gapped deployments. We enable customers across defense, law enforcement, and enterprise to turn mission-critical data into actionable intelligence.
Role
Internal IT keeps our colleagues working - from the first onboarding call to daily support on macOS and Linux and the access rights behind it. We are looking for an experienced support engineer who has already taken ownership of systems and topics, and who wants to split their time between support and project work.
This is a hands-on role, not a leadership role: you own systems and projects technically and work in the ticket queue alongside the rest of the team.
What you'll do
- Work on support tickets - a responsibility shared across the whole Internal IT team.
- General support for macOS and Linux: setup, device management, troubleshooting, software and hardware lifecycle.
- Identity & Access Management: user lifecycle, groups, roles, permissions and SSO across our core systems.
- System ownership for our tooling - configuration, access, integrations and lifecycle.
- Run the IT onboarding call for new joiners as their first contact with internal IT.
- Own internal IT projects from scoping through rollout to handover into operations.
- Automate our user journeys: onboarding, role changes, tool provisioning, offboarding.
- Improve our processes.
- Document processes, systems and tooling so colleagues can use them without asking. As well as for our internal IT Documentation
About you
- Several years of experience in IT support or internal IT, at an advanced level.
- You have already owned a system or topic end to end and kept it running.
- Confident with macOS and Linux support, the command line and basic scripting (e.g. Bash or Python).
- Practical knowledge of Identity & Access Management (SSO, MFA, directory services, roles and permissions).
- Experience running projects independently alongside day-to-day support.
- Interested in AI agents and automation, and willing to use them in your own work.
- Clear communication with non-technical colleagues and a service mindset.
- Documentation is a habit, not an afterthought.
- English at C1 or above, German at B1 or above.
Nice-to-haves
- ITIL expertise (certification or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience in an ISO 27001 environment.
