The person in this role is responsible for working with the client and Origami implementation team to design, build, configure, and test data exchanges between the Origami platform, clients, and third-party systems that best fit the client’s needs.\nStarting base pay for this role is between $92,000 and $115,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, training, location, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role will be eligible for a bonus as well as competitive medical, dental, and vision benefits, wellness reimbursement, life insurance, and a 401(k) with company match. We offer vacation and sick leave benefits (under a flexible time off policy in most states).\nResponsibilities\nGathers and documents integration requirements with client business and IT teams.\nDesigns, configures, and tests inbound and outbound integrations (APIs, flat-file, EDI, SFTP, web services), including mappings, transformations, and data loads performed via API or other methods that do not use Origami's Data Update tools.\nConfigures, secures, and troubleshoots integration authentication, including OAuth 2.0, API keys, SSO, and SFTP key-based access.\nSupports client testing and troubleshoots integration failures, data quality issues, and performance problems.\nWrites technical specifications, mapping documents, test plans, go-live, and support documentation.\nCollaborates with implementation teams, product, development, and client success on project delivery.\nAdvises clients on integration best practices, security, and data governance.\nKeeps assigned client work within the scope, timeline, and budget (hours) defined in the SOW.\nIdentifies potential scope creep / out-of-scope work and escalates to Project Manager.\nContributes reusable templates and tooling to the internal knowledge base.\nConfigures the Origami platform to meet client requirements, when applicable.\nMonitors production interfaces and resolves issues with urgency to meet client SLA commitments.\nLeverages Origami standard configuration where possible and follows established best practices and industry standards when designing, configuring, and consulting on solutions.\nPerforms unit testing of assigned deliverables.\nPlans and leads working sessions, both internal and external.\nTeaches other project team members to ensure productivity and quality.\nActs as a mentor to less experienced Origami colleagues.\nAssists with the training and onboarding of new Origami colleagues.\nRecords hours worked in accordance with Origami’s time entry policy.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.\n3+ years of previous integrations, data engineering, implementation, or technical consulting experience.\nHands-on experience with REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, and CSV/flat-file formats.\nWorking knowledge of authentication and secure data transfer, including OAuth 2.0, API keys, SSO/SAML, SFTP key-based and certificate-based authentication, and TLS encryption.\nStrong SQL skills and understanding of relational data models.\nExperience with data mapping and transformation, including scripting in Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, or similar.\nExperience with SFTP, file-based transfers, and scheduled batch processes.\nAbility to translate business requirements into technical specifications.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with comfort in client-facing settings.\nDocuments work so others can run it without you: specs, mappings, and runbooks are clear and current.\nTakes ownership of delivery, including raising scope and timeline risks to the client early.\nWorks independently and in teams, and stays effective when requirements change.\nInsurance industry experience preferred.\nPreferred: experience with SaaS platforms in risk management, insurance, claims, benefits, underwriting, rating, or billing.\nPreferred: familiarity with insurance data standards (ACORD, EDI, IAIABC) and workers’ compensation or P&C claims data.\nPreferred: experience with iPaaS/middleware platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Prismatic, Boomi, Workato).\nPreferred: project management or consulting experience;
