The internship offers exposure to variety of structural/architectural projects, including commercial, education, industrial, residential, environmental and bridge structures, as well as performing structural assessments. You will be exposed to a wide variety of design techniques and construction materials including reinforced concrete, steel, wood and aluminum.\nInterns will work alongside experienced professionals to gain practical knowledge in project administration, engineering documentation, and design support. Future internships and opportunities upon graduation may also be available.\n Position Responsibilities.\nWork under the direction of a Licensed Professional Engineer.\nResearch design criteria including building codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.\nProvide documentation of existing conditions.\nPerform engineering assignments requiring application of engineering formulas, standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.\nPrepare structural calculations incorporating hand calculations to support software results.\nPrepare document review comments and detail sketches to convey the design intent.\nDevelop design aids as productivity tools for staff use (e.g., spreadsheets, etc.).\nAssist support staff in producing construction documents using Revit.\nReview construction submittals for conformance with contract documents.\nThis internship provides a valuable opportunity to develop technical skills, gain real-world engineering and construction experience, and explore potential career paths within the engineering profession.\nHow to Apply.\nPlease upload a cover letter and resume at:\nhttps://origindesign.com/careers .\nOrigin Design is an equal opportunity employer.
