Join India’s most talent-dense robotics team consisting of individuals from IITs, Stanford, UCLA, etc.\nAbout the role\nWe are seeking an Industrial Designer Intern to shape the physical identity of our autonomous construction robots. You’ll work at the intersection of engineering, aesthetics, and usability - translating complex hardware systems into beautifully functional, durable, and serviceable machines.\nYour work will define how our robots look, feel, and operate on the job site - ensuring that form, material, and ergonomics reflect the intelligence and reliability of what we’re building.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead industrial design development for next-generation robotic systems, from early sketches to production-ready surfaces.\nCollaborate with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are both visually refined and mechanically feasible.\nDevelop modular enclosure systems and accessibility features (easy tool swaps, maintenance access, component protection).\nDesign for durability, repairability, and manufacturability using practical materials and industrial processes.\nOwn the visual design language of 10x robots - proportions, textures, color palettes, finishes, and branding placement.\nCreate high-quality renders, mockups, and physical prototypes for design reviews and investor/demo presentations.\nWork closely with the marketing and motion teams to ensure visual coherence between physical design and digital storytelling.\nRequired Qualifications and Skills\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or related field.\nAt least 1 year of experience designing hardware products - preferably in robotics, mobility, consumer electronics, or industrial equipment.\nStrong proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Rhino, Fusion 360) and rendering tools (KeyShot, Blender, or Unreal Engine).\nExperience with DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and understanding of materials such as aluminum, composites, polymers, and coated steels.\nPortfolio showcasing real-world prototypes or production designs that balance engineering practicality with strong aesthetic clarity.\nKnowledge of ergonomics, human-machine interaction, and environmental durability (IP-rated enclosures, dust/water protection).\nStrong communication and collaboration skills -
