Collaborating closely with the Director of Digital Experience, other developers, designers, and account service teams, they play a crucial role in every stage of our interactive projects-from discovery and strategic planning to development, testing, and ongoing maintenance.\nJob Details\nJob Title:Front End Web Developer (Contract)\nDirect Report:Director of Digital Experience\nPosition:Contract, Project-based\nCompensation:Competitive, based on experience\nQualifications\n3-5 years of front-end development and theming expertise. \nProficient in HTML, Advanced CSS, Sass, jQuery, and JavaScript. \nExperience with front-end animation and UI libraries. \nSkilled in using Git and Composer. \nStrong understanding of Atomic Design principles. \nExcellent written and verbal communication skills. \nFamiliarity with front-end tooling like Yarn, Node, Gulp, Grunt, Webpack. \nKnowledge and implementation of accessibility standards (WCAG AA Guidelines). \nExperience with Docker, Lando, or similar local development environments. \nPrevious experience with Pantheon hosting. \nNice to Haves\nUnderstanding of PHP. \nExperience with Drupal and other CMS platforms. \nFamiliarity with Drupal theming or module development. \nExperience in continuous integration workflows and related tools. \nKnowledge of Shopify theming. \nExperience working directly with clients in ticketing systems to resolve issues. \nResponsibilities\nCreating custom themes for client sites, particularly for Drupal and Shopify platforms. \nCollaborating with project teams from the start to the end of website builds to ensure all sites meet high quality standards. \nInnovating in code to push the boundaries of creativity and build best-in-class front-end code for client sites. \nWorking with strategists and the design team to enhance UI/UX in our designs. \nIntegrating accessibility into all code to promote a more inclusive internet. \nEnsuring all site builds are planned meticulously to maintain industry-leading performance. \nResponding to service-level client tickets and issues promptly. \nConducting detailed Quality Assurance checks on all sites. \nRecognizing system deficiencies and implementing effective solutions. \nDeveloping website documentation and providing CMS training where possible. \nParticipating in creative brainstorm sessions and contributing to new business development pitches and proposals. \nContributing to digital strategy on assigned projects. \nStaying updated with industry trends and innovations in performance, technologies, frameworks, languages, and supplementary services. \nParticipating in Department and staff meetings, initiatives, and inspiration. \nSupporting supplementary development projects, such as web banners and HTML email templates. \nContract Terms\nDuration and specifics of contract to be negotiated based on project requirements. \nMMGY Origin is committed to providing a supportive environment consistent with our company culture, The Origin Way, every day.\nSound like you?
