Apply today and start the most rewarding chapter of your career with us.\nJob Description\nAnalyzes credit data to estimate degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money to commercial businesses or individuals; Leads and mentors assigned analysts and assumes the responsibilities of a manager.Word\nSummary Analyzes credit data to estimate degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money to commercial businesses or individuals; Leads their respective teams; assumes the responsibilities of a manager by performing the following duties.\nDuties and Responsibilities include the following.\nConduct thorough analysis of financial statements and assessment of credit requests on complex commercial\ncredit relationships of $2,500,000 and greater.\nKeep up to date with the company’s lending protocols.\nAbility to effectively manage competing deadlines for projects in a high-pressure work environment, with varying degrees of supervision and a working knowledge of accounting principles and financial techniques \nResearch skills\nStrong problem-solving, mathematical and analytical skills\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to maintain confidentiality\nProficiency with computers and computer software, like programs that aid in statistical and financial calculations\nProficiency with financial reports and statements\nStrong attention to detail and ability to notice discrepancies in data\nImpeccable understanding of financial statements, ratios, and concepts\nThe ideal candidate should be self-motivated, be a team player and have a strong work ethic.\nPerforms loan reviews/annual reviews on selected borrowers and guarantors for commercial credit relationships of $2,500,000 and greater.\nPerforms cash flows, financial credit analysis, collateral valuations, global cash flows, etc. for commercial borrowers and guarantors on credit relationships of $2,500,000 and greater.\nAccompanies relationship managers on customer calls and site visits of potential and existing customers as requested / needed.\nPerforms ongoing file maintenance to ensure credit information is uploaded to the credit file in a timely basis as needed.\nIdentifies policy, collateral, and missing document exceptions.\nIdentifies strengths and weaknesses of the relationship.\nAssists relationship managers in structuring credits, assessing covenants and monitoring procedures.\nResponsible for training and development of new relationship managers on the credit analysis process.\nResponsible for training, development, and mentoring of new credit analysts and the CDP analyst on the credit analysis underwriting and processes.\nManages and develops Credit Analyst II / III in the department along with the CDP Analyst (Credit Analyst I).\nDistributes and assigns work flow based on knowledge and complexity in credit manager’s absence. \nAssists Loan Committee, as needed, with reports, agenda, meeting book, minutes of meetings, and any other duties in Credit Analysis Manager's absence.\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nSupervises employees of the Credit Analysis Department in manager’s absence. May supervise and manage the Credit Analyst II / III. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. A.) from four-year college or university, Accounting or Finance degree preferred; seven or more years credit analysis experience required; or equivalent combination of experience in Credit / Banking.\nComputer Skills\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of basic knowledge of computer applications such as Moody’s, the Internet, Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel.
