At Origina, you’ll be part of a bold, fast-moving global business where your impact will be felt immediately.\nRole Purpose\nThe Financial Controller is responsible for the integrity, accuracy and control of the Group’s financial reporting and core finance operations. The role owns Group close and consolidation, statutory reporting, audit and compliance coordination, while maintaining a robust financial control environment.\nThe Financial Controller will also oversee treasury and FX, commissions and incentives, finance systems and key operational finance processes, ensuring they are effective, scalable and appropriately controlled.\nKey Responsibilities\nFinancial Reporting & Control\nOwn the Group month-end and year-end close and consolidation processes.\nOversee balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely investigation and resolution of issues.\nEnsure accurate and consistent financial reporting across Group entities.\nMaintain Group accounting policies and ensure appropriate application of accounting standards.\nDevelop and maintain a robust internal financial control framework.\nStatutory Reporting, Audit & Compliance\nCoordinate statutory financial statements and reporting requirements across Group entities.\nLead the external audit process and manage relationships with auditors.\nCoordinate tax, regulatory and compliance requirements with internal teams and external advisers.\nEnsure appropriate governance, documentation and financial controls are maintained.\nTreasury, Investments & FX\nMaintain and oversee the Group investment and treasury policies and ensure related activities and approval frameworks are in compliance with both.\nOversee treasury operations, including cash management, banking controls and payment processes.\nMonitor Group foreign exchange exposure and oversee management of appropriate risk mitigations.\nMaintain effective authorisation and governance frameworks across treasury, investments and FX activities.\nCommissions & Incentives\nOversee systems and related processes to deliver accurate calculation, validation and payment of commissions, bonuses and financial incentives.\nEnsure calculations are approved in accordance with established governance framework and are aligned with agreed schemes.\nPartner with relevant stakeholders to resolve queries, oversee governance and controls and ensure appropriate documentation for all commission and incentive schemes.\nFinance Systems & Operations\nOversee the integrity and effective operation of core finance systems and financial data.\nMaintain appropriate system access, controls and approval workflows.\nContinuously identify opportunities to automate and improve finance processes and strengthen controls.\nProvide oversight of core finance operations, including AP, AR, Payroll and Expenses and ensure processes remain effective as the business scales.\nEssential Skills & Experience\nQualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with relevant post-qualification experience.\nStrong experience in Group financial close, consolidation and balance sheet control.\nExperience managing statutory reporting and external audits.\nStrong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of accounting policies and internal controls.\nExperience coordinating tax and financial compliance requirements.\nKnowledge of treasury operations, cash management, investments and FX exposure.\nExperience improving or automating finance processes and controls.\nFinance systems implementation, integration or optimisation experience.\nExposure to commission or incentive-based compensation.\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.\nMust have operated at Financial Controller level (or higher) previously in a multicurrency/multijurisdictional finance environment\nMust be comfortable entering a finance function where control issues have arisen and be able to stabilize processes\nMust be able to operate independently from day one, prioritize effectively and deliver without the need for extensive onboarding or close supervision\nWilling and able to get into the detail of day-to-day operations, financial close, reconciliations, reporting, audit preparation, and ensure payments and processes control.\nDesirable Experience\nExperience within an international or multi-entity organisation.\nTechnology, software or high-growth business
