If you’re driven by purpose and excited to be part of something bigger, we’d love to have you on the journey.\nAbout the role\n As Analyst - Cyber Defence, you’ll help strengthen Origin’s security resilience by monitoring threats, investigating suspicious activity and responding to incidents across endpoint, network, identity and cloud environments.You’ll work with technology and business teams to contain threats, improve detections and keep security tools operating reliably. Your investigative skills and practical judgement will help turn security signals into timely action.\nKey responsibilities\n\nMonitor and tune security tools, triaging alerts and escalating threats based on risk and business impact.\nInvestigate incidents, gather evidence and coordinate containment and response actions with system owners.\nConduct proactive threat hunting using telemetry, behavioural analysis and logs to uncover suspicious activity and control gaps.\nAssess threat and vulnerability advisories, supporting priority responses and improvements to security controls.\nMaintain reliable security tooling and clear investigation records, sharing insights to improve detections and operational processes.\nAbout you\nYou’re curious, analytical and calm under pressure. You enjoy investigating complex issues, learning new techniques and working with others to resolve problems.\nYou’ll bring:\nHands-on cyber security experience or substantial experience in a related technology field, such as OT, cloud, end-user computing or network infrastructure.\nFamiliarity with SIEM, EDR, cloud security tools and log analysis.Working knowledge of cloud, identity and endpoint security, vulnerabilities and attacker techniques.\nStrong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to prioritise and make sound decisions under pressure.\nA relevant degree in Information Security, IT, Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.\nSecurity or cloud certifications and training in incident response or threat hunting would be valuable\nOrigin - Where good change happens\nAt Origin, we’re powered by people who believe in creating change.\nWe are committed to fostering a diverse, gender equitable workforce, where everyone is welcome, and all applications are evaluated on merit and potential.
