We work with a wide range of clients across many industries including financial services, professional services, telecommunications and media, consumer products, automotive, industrial automation, professional sports and entertainment, life sciences, ecommerce, and education.\nSummary:\nDB2 Database Administrator (DBA) with proven experience supporting DB2 v12 (or higher) on an IBM z/OS platform. Primary responsibilities include working with application development teams to install and migrate releases, support execution of data fixes, define new and execute databases recovery functions, definition and execution of standard database tuning procedures (e.g., run stats, reorgs). The target systems for which support is required are the Payroll Management System (PMS), the Pension Payroll Management System (PPMS) and the Financial Management System (FMS).\nPrimary Responsibilities:\n\n Ensure that all installation, configuration, and tuning of DB2 databases are completed efficiently\nAuthor and validate procedures for all database processes\nIdentify potential issues and deliver modifications / updates for DB2 programs\nCommunicate with and deliver to Tech Support all elements to be migrated with specific instructions to be performed during the production migration\nAssist Systems areas with tool upgrades and participate in Disaster Recovery drills.\nDefine and execute databases recovery functions, definition and execution of standard database tuning procedures (e.g., runstats, reorgs).\nMonitor the health of the key database operations (backup / recovery processes, logging, system response times, etc)\nOpen and manage tickets logged with IBM to resolution.\nWork with application development teams to install and migrate software releases (DB2 tasks) and support execution of data fixes (backups, packaging for production, etc)\nPerform DB2 DB troubleshooting of online and batch programs during production, user acceptance\ntesting, integrated system testing, performance testing and development phases of the work effort.\nDesign and execute technical tests to ensure that vendor and Client software deliveries address the business and technical problems in a manner consistent with Client standards for quality and completeness.\nPerform all system administration activities for the IBM InfoSphere Data Replication product.
