Through laser-based wireless power transmission, we aim to overcome the energy limitations of today’s satellites and enable longer, more capable, and more resilient operations in orbit.\nAs a Senior Space Systems Engineer, you will contribute to the development of a pioneering mission aimed at demonstrating laser-based Wireless Power Transmission between satellites in Low Earth Orbit (LEO).\nYou will play a key role in transforming innovative concepts into operational space systems, supporting both this flagship mission and future space programs that will redefine how satellites are powered and operated in orbit.\nAs part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will drive system-level decisions, coordinate technical activities across multiple disciplines, and contribute to the successful delivery of the first Wireless Power Transmission satellite.\nWhat You Will Do\nLead system engineering activities throughout the complete spacecraft development lifecycle\n\nDefine, manage, and maintain system requirements\n\nDevelop spacecraft architectures, interface definitions, and technical budgets\n\nPerform trade-off analyses and support critical technical decision-making\n\nCoordinate activities across mechanical, electrical, software, AOCS, thermal, and payload engineering teams\n\nSupport integration, verification, validation, and qualification activities\n\nContribute to major project milestones including SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, and Acceptance Reviews\n\nIdentify technical risks and implement effective mitigation strategies\n\nSupport stakeholders interactions and ensure compliance with mission and program requirements\n\nWhat We Are Looking For\nAt least 5 years of experience in Space Systems Engineering or spacecraft development programs, otherwise, you have been involved in at least 3 space missions that successfully progressed through development, launch, and in-orbit operations.\n\nExperience in requirements engineering, interface management, and Verification & Validation activities\n\nKnowledge of Systems Engineering methodologies and ECSS standards\n\nProven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams\n\nFluent English (C1/C2 mandatory)\n\nNice to Have\nExperience with MBSE methodologies\n\nKnowledge of DOORS, Jama, Capella, or equivalent requirements management tools\n\nExperience with STK, MATLAB, or mission analysis tools\n\nPrevious experience in space startups, commercial space companies, or institutional space programs, with demonstrated involvement in missions successfully launched and operated in orbit.\n\nFamiliarity with satellite platforms, payload integration, or in-orbit operations\n\nWhy ORiS\nWork on innovative satellite missions and advanced space technologies\n\nPlay a key role in shaping system-level decisions that directly impact mission success\n\nCollaborate with highly skilled engineers across multiple technical disciplines\n\nGain exposure to cutting-edge space programs and emerging technologies\n\nGrow professionally within a fast-growing and ambitious space company\n\nBe part of a culture driven by innovation, ownership, and technical excellence\n\nOur offer\nSalary Range: €70,000 -
