And behind every great technology, there’s great organization.\nAs a Senior CAD Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between conceptual design and physical production by applying your deep knowledge of advanced materials, multi-axis CNC machining, and industrial 3D printing, mold design for injection molding, design for injection molding.\nWHAT YOU'LL DO:\nDevelop complex 3D solid and surface models, as well as precise 2D production drawings, using SolidWorks\n\nOptimize designs for manufacturability (DFM), specifically tailoring parts for both subtractive processes (3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining) and additive manufacturing (industrial 3D printing)\n\nSelect and specify appropriate high-performance materials based on mechanical requirements, thermal resistance, and weight limits (e.g., high-strength aluminum and composites)\n\nPerform tolerance stack-up analysis and apply advanced Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T - ASME Y14.5) to ensure accurate manufacturing\n\nManage complex assemblies and maintain strict version control using SolidWorks PDM\n\nCollaborate closely with manufacturing engineers and machinists to troubleshoot production constraints and iterate on designs\n\nWHAT WE EXPECT:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)\n\n5+ years of dedicated CAD engineering experience in a precision manufacturing environment\n\nExpert-level proficiency in SolidWorks (CSWP or CSWE certification is a strong plus)\n\nDeep, practical understanding of CNC machining limitations, 3D printing technologies, and material properties\n\nBONUS: Experience in the aerospace industry, familiarity with aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9100), or hands-on work focused on prototyping and precision manufacturing.\nWHY YOU'LL LOVE IT HERE:\nOur office is a drone testing playground, and every day starts with an idea no one has tried before.
