As our Finance Manager, you'll own financial control, planning and reporting, lead Remote's corporate team, and turn the numbers into advice that shapes how the business grows.\nRemote + Orro\nThis role is being sourced by Orro through Remote (remote.com.au), an Australian-owned, Canberra-based specialist consulting and workforce solutions firm with over 25 years of experience placing professionals across the National Intelligence Community, Defence, and national security.\nOrro is a leading Australian managed services provider delivering secure, end-to-end digital solutions across cloud, cyber security, collaboration, and network infrastructure to some of Australia's most critical organisations.\nWe know that real impact comes from connecting people and that genuine relationships, built on trust and understanding, are what set us apart.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nRemote is a specialist professional services and workforce solutions business supporting Australia's Federal Government, Defence and National Intelligence Community. As its finance lead, your first priority is a finance function that is accurate, well controlled and built to scale, with processes that keep pace as the business matures. From there, the role becomes a genuine partnership with the General Manager, using forward looking numbers on margin, utilisation and workforce costs to guide decisions. It also makes you the key link into Orro's Group finance team, with the backing of a national group and the agility of a specialist business.\nOwn financial control, month end and reporting for Remote, to a standard that stands up to Group review\n\nLead budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management\n\nLead and develop Remote's corporate team\n\nReview and improve finance processes so they scale with the business\n\nGive the General Manager forward looking insight on margin, utilisation and workforce costs\n\nOversee payroll governance, statutory and tax compliance, and audit readiness\n\nAlign Remote's financial practices with Orro's Group finance function\n\nWhat You'll Bring\nThe Essentials\nCA or CPA qualified\n\n5+ years in in house finance roles across financial control, financial planning and analysis or finance management\n\nHands on ownership of month end, budgeting and forecasting\n\nExperience leading a finance or business support team\n\nA track record of improving finance processes, not just running them\n\nBonus Points\nExperience in a labour hire, recruitment or managed services business, where utilisation and margins drive performance\n\nExposure to government contracting, panel arrangements or regulated industries\n\nExperience working within a group structure or a private equity backed organisation\n\nEven if you don't tick every box, don't let that hold you back.
