To learn more about Team OC please visit https://www.orthocarolina.com/about-us\nWe are currently recruiting for a Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) in our Fort Mill Orthopedic Urgent Care.\nOrthopedic Urgent Care (OUC) physician assistants are responsible for providing a high level of orthopedic care in alignment with the quality and excellence set forth by OrthoCarolina physicians. Responsibilities will include evaluating, diagnosing, and treating various urgent and non-urgent conditions in autonomous high-volume clinics, and seeing patients with various orthopedic injuries and illnesses. Proficiency in casting, splinting, ordering tests, and completing documentation in accordance with OrthoCarolina policies and procedures. This position requires a clinician experienced in clinical orthopedics who is comfortable with a high degree of autonomy.\nEssential Functions:\nExamines patient, performs comprehensive physical examination, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and physical examination results. \nAdministers or orders diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, advanced imaging, physical therapy, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests, and interprets test results in collaboration with orthopedic surgeons/staff. \nPerforms therapeutic procedures such as injections, aspirations, and fracture reduction. Assesses, applies, and/or removes a variety of orthopedic casts, splints, and immobilization devices. \nDevelops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, applies appropriate codes and charges for service, and assists in the provision of continuity of care. \nDocuments patient records. Documents patient information and care provided in patient records. Uses computer to access/enter needed data.
