Look no further.\nJOB PURPOSE\nThe Critical Facilities Technician II is responsible for performing preventive and ongoing maintenance for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other infrastructure systems in mission-critical, high-risk, or high-reliability environments (e.g., server rooms, laboratories, and utilities infrastructure). This role ensures operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and maximum facility uptime within a medical device manufacturing environment.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nThe following are the essential functions of this position. This position may be responsible for performing additional duties and tasks as needed and assigned.\nAssist with daily operations of the facility by performing general maintenance duties such as furniture moves, electrical work, spot painting, cleaning and light construction.\n\nOperate site equipment as needed, using hand and power tools; maintain documentation such as MEP diagrams, network diagrams, and space utilization records.\n\nObserve, troubleshoot, and report repair needs for equipment, building systems, and infrastructure.\n\nLead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions for equipment failures and recurring issues.\n\nPerform maintenance activities in compliance with FDA QSR, ISO 13485, ISO 14644, and internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).\n\nEnsure accurate and timely documentation of all maintenance activities within CMMS and controlled documentation systems.\n\nCoordinate with and oversee outside contractors performing building and equipment repairs.\n\nSupport and resolve employee-generated facility-related issues in a timely and professional manner.\n\nSupport site security operations, including badge access management.\n\nSupport environmental health and safety (EHS) compliance initiatives and programs.\n\nParticipate in internal and external audits; address and close findings related to facilities and equipment.\n\nRespond rapidly to emergency situations that could impact facility operations; coordinate with cross-functional teams to restore safe and reliable conditions.\n\nServe as a key point of contact during off-hours or critical operational events.\n\nComply with all organizational policies and government regulations related to safety and facility operations.\n\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nThe requirements listed below are representative of the education, knowledge, skill and/or ability required for this position.\nEducation/Certifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent experience.\n\nExperience, Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities :\n2+ years’ experience in medical device manufacturing\n\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills.\n\nSolid background in electrical systems, troubleshooting, and repair.\n\nFamiliarity with regulated environments (FDA, ISO standards) strongly preferred.\n\nSelf-motivated, detail-oriented team player with strong problem-solving skills.\n\nBasic computer proficiency; experience with CMMS systems and AutoCAD MEP preferred.\n\nAbility to read and interpret MEP drawings and technical documentation.\n\nFamiliarity with electrical measurement instruments and standard maintenance tools.\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nThe education, knowledge, skills and/or abilities listed below are preferred qualifications in addition to the minimum qualifications stated above.\nEducation/Certifications :\nIFMA Facility Management Professional (FMP)\n\nBOMA Facilities Management Administrator (FMA)\n\nSMRP Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT or CMRP)\n\nAdditional Experience, Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities:\nDemonstrated leadership and mentoring capability\n\nHVAC maintenance and repair experience\n\nExperience supporting or leading safety and compliance programs\n\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / ADVERSE WORKING CONDITIONS\nThe physical requirements listed in this section include but are not limited to the motor/physical abilities, skills, and/or demands required of the position in order to successfully undertake the essential duties and responsibilities of this position.
