You will collaborate with Operations, Software, and Machine Learning teams to research, design, integrate, test and deploy new robotic hardware including: robot cell designs, end effectors, cameras, lighting, HW control devices (PLCs, I/O couplers, sensors, etc), pneumatics, actuators, and custom mechanisms.\nWe value candidates who are passionate about what they build, feel a strong sense of ownership over their work, are driven to succeed and appreciate a harmonious work environment.\nWhat You'll be Doing\nDesign, prototype, and test ML-enabled robotic automation systems\n\nDevelop system-level designs for cell controls using off-the-shelf hardware (I/O couplers, PLCs, sensors)\n\nSupport pneumatic and electrical design, with guidance from senior engineers\n\nWork with domestic and offshore integration partners on the build and deployment of robotic cells\n\nContribute to feasibility and cost analyses for new mechatronic systems\n\nDraft and maintain technical specifications\n\nTest and characterize electromechanical and optical systems\n\nTroubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues to keep equipment ready for demos and development\n\nExperience and Skills You'll Need\n1+ years of machine design or mechatronics experience in industry\n\nStrong SolidWorks skills, including building and maintaining multi-level assemblies and including modeling and creation of detailed drawings\n\nUnderstanding of design for manufacturing and assembly (DFM/DFA) principles\n\nExperience designing for 3D printing, sheet metal, CNC machining, and welding\n\nExperience specifying and integrating off-the-shelf controls hardware\n\nComfort around machine tools, and the ability to fabricate prototypes in-house\n\nExperience working with outside partners or vendors on design, fabrication, assembly, or test\n\nClear written and verbal communication, and a collaborative working style\n\nWillingness to learn and thrive in a fast-paced, small-team environment\n\nAbility to work on-site 4-5 days per week\n\nAbility to travel 20-30% of the time, including for installation and deployment of new projects\n\nLegal authorization to work in the U.S. is required, OSARO will not provide H1B visa\n\nBonus if You Have\nExperience managing multiple projects and priorities\n\nScripting skills (Python or similar)\n\nFamiliarity with motors, encoders, linear actuators, pneumatics, and sensors\n\nDetailed pneumatic or electrical design experience\n\nPLC programming or industrial controls experience\n\nProgramming articulated industrial robots (Fanuc, KUKA, Yaskawa, etc.)\n\nRobot simulation experience (ROBOGUIDE or similar)\n\nEnd-of-arm tool design\n\n2D/3D machine vision experience (Cognex, Datalogic, Keyence, Sick, or
