This position will report to the Associate Director of Structural Engineering and will play a key role in supporting a wide range of structural projects for both private- and public-sector clients. The ideal candidate will bring strong consulting experience, enjoy working collaboratively, and be excited about the opportunity to help shape and grow our structural team.\nOsborn is a fully integrated multi-disciplined design firm that uses a specialized team approach to engineering projects. These teams are comprised of a staff of more than 390 professionals that provide designs for all phases of a wide range of projects. Osborn has specialists in civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and life safety, technology engineering, transportation and commissioning. Osborn’s strength lies with its people.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nDesign of new building structures as well as structural alterations, renovations, and additions to existing buildings.\nManage and Coordinate projects with clients and other disciplines.\nCollaborate with Senior engineers to assemble structural work products.\nPrepare structural integrity and assessment reports.\nDesign and detailing of structure including calculations and computer modeling, for steel, concrete, masonry, and timber structures\nPrepare design deliverables for SD, DD, CD level documents. \nCoordinate with Architectural, Electrical and Mechanical drawings and attend coordination meetings.\nMeet project schedule and budget requirements \nPerform site reviews and construction administration services during the construction phase.\nParticipate in continuing education seminars and ongoing continuous improvement efforts.\nJob Requirements/Qualifications:\n4 - 7 Years of experience in Structural Design in Consulting Engineering.\nProactive and collaborative team member.\nExcellent organizational and communication skills.\nCreative problem solver.\nWorking knowledge of structural analysis and design software such as REVIT, RISA, ADAPT, EnerCalc, Tekla Structural Designer.\nStrong knowledge of local and national building codes and design practices.\nStrong knowledge of standard construction practices and the ability to work with contractors to address construction issues.\nExperience in designing Healthcare, Sports, Commercial, Public Sector, Industrial, Education, and/or Institutional projects.\nBachelor’s degree and/or Master’s in Structural, Civil Engineering, or Architectural Engineering.\nEIT or PE/SE License Preferred.\nOsborn is looking for a candidate who has the following characteristics:\nReliable\nTeam Player\nSelf - Starter\nPositive Attitude\nStrong Work Ethic\nCritical Thinker\nDetail Oriented\nInnovative\nGood Communicator\nEEO\nNOTE TO RECRUITERS: Osborn Engineering does not currently accept unsolicited resumes through or from search firms or recruiters.
