The Project Coordinator must be an effective communicator with the leadership skills necessary to motivate professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results on every project.\nPreparing estimates for various commercial & industrial construction projects\nEngaging in various responsibilities from budget analysis, issuing subcontracts, scope reviews, requisitions, change management and ongoing communication to complete projects\nScheduling drawing submittals, hardware and delivery of material to jobsites as well as submitting monthly progress claims and approving invoices\nConsistently meeting client requirements for safety, quality, schedule, and cost \nRecognizing key issues and acting in a timely manner to expedite solutions both internally and externally\nInterpreting construction drawings and specifications to understand Project requirements and interfacing with Clients \nAccurately preparing material take-offs, estimates, bid letters, and schedules in a timely manner\nUtilizing estimating software and expanding software capabilities \nSoliciting subcontractor and supplier quotations \nPreparing construction schedules \nOther duties as assigned\n Technical Requirements\nEngineering background required (Degree or diploma from an accredited institution)\nExperience working in general contracting or the construction management sector considered a definite asset\nIndustrial experience would be considered an asset\nProficient experience with Microsoft Project, Project cost control software and project management software required\nBusiness Requirements\nExceptional time management and organizational skills are required\nDesire to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and customer-focused environment\nCultural Requirements\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with individuals of various disciplines\nA team player with the desire to work collaboratively with others to improve existing processes\nAs a member of the OSCO Construction Group, FCC offers a comprehensive compensation package including health and dental coverage, life insurance, RRSP and tax-free savings account options.
