Our engineering and product innovation help keep soldiers and firefighters safe, is critical in building and keeping communities clean and helps people do their jobs every day.\nParticipate in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using CAE to assist in modeling and analyzing challenges in product development. In this role, you will collaborate with experienced engineers to develop creative and practical solutions. You will also learn how to effectively communicate simulation methods, inputs, assumptions, and results to design engineering teams and leadership. You will contribute to both verbal discussions and written reports, making this a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a supportive, non-supervisory position.\nYOUR IMPACT\nCreate models and perform analysis on products. Capable of learning and utilizing various CAE software such as ANSA/META, Abaqus, Optistruct, or other similar software. \nUtilize HPC cluster to submit jobs and retrieve simulation data. \nDevelop and execute Engineering Work Requests (EWRs), applying appropriate simulation methods to maximize customer value. \nProvide clear interpretation of analysis results through technical reports and presentations. \nIdentify and propose improvements to enhance performance, reduce costs, or lower weight based on analytical findings. \nFollow established best practices for modeling methodologies. \nPerform basic engineering analyses and calculations. \nWork independently and as part of a team to complete work and meet deadlines. \nBecome familiar with source data from CREO or CATIA and related information required for analysis. \nLearn and develop scripting processes for automation. \nConduct all duties in an ethical, professional manner consistent with the Oshkosh Way and company policies. \nOther duties as assigned. \nRegular attendance required. \nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nAccredited Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar (i.e. Engineering Mechanics or Aerospace Engineering). \nRelated work or internship experience. \nSTANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS\nAccredited Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Mechanics \nExperience with ANSA, Abaqus, Nastran, or Optistruct. \nExperience with computer aided design (CAD) software tools. \nFamiliar with utilizing a High Performance Computing (HPC) cluster. \nUnderstanding of computer programming and scripting. Ability to use and write Python as part of an automated process. \nPay Range:\n$68,600.00 - $109,200.00The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
