Through this position, you will use various simulation tools to assess the performance of Oshkosh products.\nYOUR IMPACT\nAs a Mechanical Engineering Intern your experience may include:\nLearning and utilizing various modeling and simulation software tools, including pre and post processing tools like ANSA or META and model solvers like Optistruct or Abaqus to aid in the development of vehicles and system level components \nPerform model validation and correlation based on available data to assess model accuracy \nAnalyze simulation results to draw actionable conclusions and compose technical reports \nUse and develop custom software tools to process, analyze, and automate simulation \nMINIMUM QUALIFICAITONS\nStudent working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering field \nWilling to travel or relocate to Oshkosh, WI for the duration of the summer 2026 internship. Summer housing is available to interns whose permanent address is greater than 50 miles from their work location \nAnalytical and problem-solving skills \nWHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT\nHands-on vehicle experience (Formula SAE, Baja SAE, etc.) \nInterest in automotive engineering or motorsports \nPrevious experience with FEA (in particular work in Nastran, Optistruct, or Abaqus, but also experience in Solidworks Simulation or NX FEA) \nExposure to python\nPay Range:\n$18.00 - $37.00The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations.
