The Operations Intern may support our supplier base, test, manufacturing, sales floor, control test, exercising, pre-ship, deprocessing, customer fielding, and service/warranty.\nYOUR IMPACT\nAssist in the direct activities of production management personnel.\nWork with the Operations department to introduce, promote, and implement lean manufacturing techniques to reduce cost and improve efficiency.\nPromote growth of ISO procedures and standards.\nUtilize value stream mapping to analyze and improve material flow and eliminate waste.\nAssist in the assurance of quality and accuracy of customer order fulfillment.\nAssist in the continuous improvement techniques including Kaizen events and 5S.\nPerform other duties and special projects as assigned.\nReview and update quality documentation.\nActively participate in group and team meetings.\nCommunicate with suppliers and internal teams to correct and prevent quality issues.\nAssist in problem-solving and implementing solutions to quality-related problems.\nAssist staff with the disposition of defective material.\nParticipate in quality audits internally and externally.\nAssist in supplier quality and process control.\nReport and respond to quality process non-conformance issues in an expedient manner.\nWork inter-functionally with Quality and Manufacturing to resolve quality-related issues.\n MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nStudent in a Sophomore standing or greater working towards a bachelor’s degree in operations/manufacturing management, Business, or a related field throughout the entire duration of the internship.\nGraduation date December 2028 or later.\nThis position can be either a summer opportunity or a co-op that would both require this individual to travel or relocate to Spartanburg, SC (relocation assistance provided for those with a permanent address of greater than 50 miles from Spartanburg, SC).\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nExcellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.\nWHY OSHKOSH?\nMoving the future forward is our priority and this includes your future.
