Activities will include designing reliable, functional, and cost-effective vehicle control software; develop and test programming for vehicles and systems; support various systems through troubleshooting or reprogramming the system. This role will work on a variety of key projects and initiatives ranging from simple tasks to more complex analytical projects.\nYOUR IMPACT\nWrite quality, maintainable C++ and/or python software for robotic systems.\nDevelop and test software that controls robot motion and autonomous behavior.\nWork with vision sensors, robot arms, and other robotic hardware.\nDebug software and hardware interactions on physical systems.\nPrepare and maintain software documentation.\nParticipate in peer reviews, design discussions, testing, and other engineering activities.\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nUndergraduate degree student majoring in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.\nAbility to maintain confidentiality of various degrees of information. \nSTANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS\nExperience with C++, Python or similar programming language through coursework, clubs or personal projects.\nFamiliarity with software engineering concepts and data structures.\nExperience with one robotics specialty (controls, motion planning, perception, autonomy)\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nProficiency with various web-based software applications including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.\nDetail oriented and quality focused.\nAbility to work independently while prioritizing workload.\nFlexible and adaptable to working under tight deadlines and/or changing needs\nThe following represents general working conditions for this role.
