This role provides exposure to the setup, instrumentation, testing, evaluation, and troubleshooting of heavy equipment, vehicle systems, subsystems, and components.\nYou will work directly with Test & Development engineers and technicians to support vehicle and component testing, prototype builds, test setups, data collection, and product validation. The ideal candidate enjoys working hands-on with equipment, has strong mechanical aptitude, and is interested in using engineering principles and test data to evaluate product performance and help solve technical problems.\nYOUR IMPACT\nAssist with the setup, instrumentation, execution, and documentation of vehicle, subsystem, and component testing.\nWork directly with Test & Development engineers and technicians to support prototype vehicles, test setups, configuration changes, repairs, and troubleshooting.\nSupport validation testing of new product designs as part of new product development and testing to resolve issues on existing products.\nInstall and configure test instrumentation, sensors, data acquisition equipment, and other measurement devices used to evaluate vehicle and component performance.\nCollect, organize, and analyze test data and assist engineers with interpreting results and identifying trends or potential issues.\nAssist with the development of test plans, procedures, setups, and technical documentation based on engineering requirements and specifications.\nPerform basic engineering calculations and analysis to support testing, product evaluation, and problem resolution.\nRead and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, schematics, and other technical documentation.\nAssist with the assembly, modification, and configuration of vehicles, test stands, components, and test equipment as needed to support testing.\nSupport troubleshooting and root-cause investigation of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and vehicle system issues identified during testing.\nCollaborate with engineering, technicians, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to communicate test results and support project objectives.\nFollow applicable engineering procedures, test standards, safety requirements, and specifications while performing testing and development activities.\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nStudent pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or another related engineering field.\nCumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.\nAbility to read and interpret basic engineering drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical specifications.\nInterest in hands-on vehicle testing, product development, troubleshooting, and working with heavy equipment.\nSTANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS\nPrevious internship, testing, laboratory, manufacturing, automotive, heavy equipment, or other hands-on technical experience.\nExperience with test instrumentation, sensors, data acquisition systems, or engineering measurement equipment.\nExperience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting engineering or test data.\nUnderstanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and/or vehicle control systems.\nExperience with vehicle or component testing, test fixtures, test stands, or prototype equipment.\nStrong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills.\nExperience using Creo Parametric, Pro/E, CATIA, SolidWorks, or a similar CAD system.\nKnowledge of heavy equipment, construction equipment, automotive, agricultural equipment, or other vehicle industries.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nThe following represents general working conditions for this role.
