This individual is responsible for developing control system applications that are a key to the success of the JLG Business and Operational Technology practice. This individual must provide leadership in project implementation and technical solutions.\nYOUR IMPACT\nAct as Subject Matter Expert in factory controls while leading factory control systems projects interfacing with Digital Technology and Operations teams\n\nAble to lead PFMEAs in collaboration with project team members\n\nDesign and build control panels\n\nRead/Write/Solution PLCs, SCADA (Ignition), HMIs, and other controls systems\n\nFacilitate test case development and implementation\n\nDevelop and enforce a standard operating procedure (SOP) for project startups, ensuring that all necessary equipment and documentation are prepared and reviewed in advance\n\nPerform startups, customer/end user training, and field troubleshooting\n\nPerform equipment upgrades and retrofits, as required\n\nLevel 3 support for the plants on control systems\n\nResponsible for schematic creation, controls layouts, BOM creation and other design documentation ensuring accuracy and maintain as-built drawings\n\nResponsible for electrical drawing approvals\n\nEnsure thorough documentation of all work, including technical details, changes, and project progress\n\nConduct regular debriefs to discuss project progress, challenges, and ensure corrective actions are taken\n\nDefine standard components list, electrical standards and programming standards\n\nTravel up to 20%\n\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor’s Degree in one of the following: Electrical Engineering; Electronics Engineering; Software Engineering; or Related Field\n\nFive (5) or more years of relevant experience.\n\nSTANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS\nExperience with electrical and automation components, circuits, standards, and common practices\n\nSignificant experience solutioning & developing code on controls systems including PLCs, SCADA & HMIs\n\nExperience with Rockwell PLCs, VFDs, and Ignition EDGE\n\nUnderstands communication protocols such as EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, MQTT, Profinet, Modbus RTU, and others\n\nCompetent in SQL - reads/writes\n\nBasic understanding of networking\n\nAdept at safety controllers and circuits\n\nExperience with virtual machines and operating systems\n\nUnderstands Servo drives and motors\n\nMachine Vision and Robotics experience\n\nLeadership skills with a strong emphasis on proactive management and clear, timely communication\n\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills\n\nGood interpersonal skills, motivated and team player\n\nDetail-oriented with an emphasis on planning, documentation, and follow-up\n\nAble to adapt to changes in priorities and stay organized in a fast-paced, high-demand environment\n\nPerforms well under pressure and tight deadlines\n\nWORKING CONDITIONS\nThe following represents general working conditions for this role.
