We provide complimentary shuttle service from Brooklyn and Newark, NJ.\nAbout the Role\nOsmo is seeking a Compounder to accurately measure, weigh, and mix raw materials and essential oils according to formulas and batch sheets in our sample lab. This is a craft, not just a process: precision, real understanding of raw material characteristics, and developing sensory judgment are what separate a successful sample lab compounder from someone just following steps.\nWhat You'll Do:\nFragrance Compounding - Accurately measure, weigh, and mix raw materials and essential oils according to formulas and batch sheets\n\nVerify Materials & Formulas - Check materials against specifications and batch sheets before use, and flag discrepancies before they become a downstream problem\n\nEquipment Operation & Maintenance - Operate and clean mixing tanks, scales, pumps, and other production equipment while following SOPs\n\nSafety & Compliance - Follow all company safety protocols, including hazardous material handling and PPE\n\nInventory Management - Assist in monitoring raw material stock levels using Osmo's inventory system, and notify supervisors of shortages\n\nCollaboration - Work closely with quality control and production teams to ensure consistency and efficiency\n\nWho You Are:\n2-5 years of hands-on sample lab compounding experience within fragrance or flavor manufacturing\n\nExtreme attention to detail and accuracy measuring, weighing, and blending raw materials\n\nAble to follow written formulas and instructions precisely\n\nStrong organizational and multitasking skills\n\nAble to work in a fast-paced production environment\n\nAble to lift 25 lbs\n\nWays to Stand Out:\nUnderstand the order of addition for certain raw materials and the reasons behind it\n\nAbility to distinguish fragrance notes\n\nPrior experience with inventory or production tracking systems, or material-handling equipment certification (e.g. forklift)\n\nWhat We Offer:\nCatered Lunch - Mon/Wed/Fri; Newark, NJ and Brooklyn shuttles\n\n401(k) savings plan and employer match\n\nCompetitive salary and meaningful equity in a high-growth company\n\nFlexible PTO and paid family leave\n\nCommuter benefits (pre-tax transit and parking)\n\nIf this role inspires you we’d encourage you to apply.
