Role Overview\nWe are seeking a Data Science Manager who combines strong technical depth with proven leadership to join Otis' Digital Transformation (DT) organization. This role will lead a cross-functional team to build reusable AI/ML capabilities that power the Digital Ecosystem IoT Predictive Service & Maintenance offering, and drive AI adoption at scale across multiple Business Units (BUs).\nAs the primary architecture and solution owner for the team, you will not only manage projects and people, but also personally lead the architecture design and core development of data analytics and AI projects built on the Azure ecosystem. You will also serve as a key driver of the China AI strategy, responsible for shaping and executing the local AI roadmap while ensuring alignment with the global Digital Transformation direction.\nII. Key Responsibilities\nBusiness Partnership & Demand Management\nEngage with business units across China and globally (especially the IoT / Otis One teams) to capture data and AI needs, and translate business problems into actionable technical solutions\nAct as the bridge between business and technology, managing priorities and stakeholder expectations\nProject & People Management\nOwn project planning, project management, and resource/staff allocation to ensure delivery quality and pace\nLead and develop a team of Data Scientists, Developers, and a Product Manager, fostering effective collaboration\nStrategic Planning\nActively contribute to and drive the definition of Otis China's local AI strategy and implementation roadmap, aligning local business priorities with the global DT strategy\nServe as a key enabler of China's AI capability building, driving AI adoption at scale across multiple BUs\nTechnical Architecture & Development\nLead the end-to-end architecture design and technology selection for data analytics and AI projects on the Azure ecosystem\nPersonally contribute to the development of key AI/ML modules and build reusable AI capability platforms\nOwn the deployment design for projects on Azure Functions / Containers\nBuild and optimize data analytics and modeling pipelines on Databricks\nIII. Requirements\nMust-Have\nBachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field\n8+ years of experience in Data Science / AI, including 3+ years of team management experience\nStrong expertise in the Azure data & AI ecosystem: Databricks, Azure ML, Azure Functions, Containers (AKS/ACI), etc.\nSolid end-to-end AI project architecture design capability, able to independently deliver solutions from data to deployment\nStrong hands-on machine learning / deep learning modeling skills with proficient coding ability (Python / SQL, etc.)\nExcellent cross-functional communication and project management skills\nFluent in both Chinese and English, able to communicate effectively with domestic and global teams as well as management\nNice-to-Have\nExperience with IoT / industrial equipment / Predictive Maintenance projects\nExperience delivering GenAI / LLM Agent solutions (e.g., RAG, AI Agents)\nBackground in manufacturing or the elevator industry\nExperience defining and driving a business AI strategy\nHands-on experience with MLOps / DataOps engineering practices\nIV.
