Washington Blvd, Chicago, IL, 60661 USAWould you like to join a truly international, talent driven company that values Safety, Ethics, Quality, Innovation and Employee Opportunity?\nOtis Elevator Company is searching for a highly motivated Lead Project Manager to provide direction, support, and leadership to a team of New Equipment project managers.\nOn a typical day you will:\nLead a team of New Equipment project managers and focus on driving efficiency, cost containment, and customer satisfaction.\nInfluence and promote a customer centric culture amongst the PM team to ensure First in Class customer service.\nEnsure adherence to the New Equipment Sales Installation Processes and verify timely execution of deliverables, and work with general managers to drive the weekly SIP meetings.\nReview awarded projects, triage, and distribute amongst team to ensure proper project loading.\nMonitor project metrics for respective group, and work with general managers to develop action plans as needed.\nOversight of contract activities from the project award stage to completion of the elevator and escalator installation and/or related equipment and provide a progress review of projects to ensure that contract documents are consistent with the required scope of the project.\nCommunicate directly with multiple representatives of the consultants, general contractors, owners, building managers, architects and designers, also State and Local authorities and regulatory agencies concerning project design, preparations, and scheduling of installation for the equipment.\nCollaborate with the internal sales staff, New Equipment superintendents and senior leadership to ensure a successful project from both the financial and customer perspectives.\nConduct job site visits and attend customer meetings as needed.\nOversee customary construction process duties that include managing billing, consultant and contractors’ payments, processing RFI’s and optimizing change order opportunities, as well as maximizing project cash coverage.\nEnsure kick off meetings and target hours are assigned prior to start of the project.\nProvide on-going training, development, and leadership to the New Equipment project management team.\nConsult with the regional New Equipment operational leaders, superintendents, mechanics and adjusters regarding problems encountered with product performance.\nWhat you will need to be successful:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred\nManagement experience required, industry management experience a plus\n5+ years of experience working with field-level associates and managing projects\nStrong project management experience required\nAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders\nSelf-motivated with the ability to manage multiple direct reports and concurrent priorities\nStrong technical proficiency with Microsoft tools; Excel and Project required\nProven leadership skills with strong organizational, time management, and goal-oriented focus\nKnowledge of and commitment to enforcing company EH&S policies and procedures\n5+ years of elevator industry experience or leadership in construction/modernization projects preferred\nAbility to travel up to 20%\nAdditional Comments:\nGiven the nature of the position, applicants must have authorization to work in the U.S. now and in the future without sponsorship.\nWhat we offer:\nWe offer a 401(k) plan with a generous company match and an automatic retirement contribution for your future financial security from day one of your employment, you and your eligible dependents will receive comprehensive medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage. \nEnjoy three weeks of paid vacation, along with paid company holidays \nWe provide paid sick leave, employee assistance, and wellness incentive programs to support your well-being. \nLife insurance and disability coverage to protect you and your family. \nVoluntary benefits, including options for legal, pet, home, and auto insurance. \nWe offer generous birth/adoption and parental leave benefits, as well as adoption assistance, to support growing families. \nPursue your educational goals with our tuition reimbursement program. \nRecognize and be recognized! We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may change in the future.
