This position supports inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, equipment maintenance, and continuous operational efficiency within the Tool Facility.\nShift: 1st Shift\nHours: 7:30AM-4:00PM (Mon-Fri, some overtime may be required)\nEquipment Assembly and Repair\nRead and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, specifications, parts lists, and standard work instructions.\nAssemble, disassemble, inspect, rebuild, and test equipment and components according to manufacturer requirements and company standards.\nPosition and fit parts and subassemblies using measurements, templates, gauges, and hand tools.\nVerify completed work by inspecting and measuring components to ensure compliance with specifications and quality requirements.\nRebuild and test hoists, safety block stops, false cars, and other equipment as assigned.\nTroubleshoot and identify mechanical and basic electrical issues during inspection and testing activities.\nInventory and Material Management\nReceive incoming shipments and verify quantities and condition of equipment and materials.\nConduct inventory audits upon receipt of deliveries to identify discrepancies and support timely resolution of missing or damaged materials.\nMaintain accurate inventory records using company systems and documentation procedures.\nMonitor supply levels and communicate replenishment needs to support operational requirements.\nOrder Fulfillment and Shipping\nPick, package, and prepare customer and internal orders for shipment.\nFulfill orders for safety cables, hoisting cables, wind cables, kits, and other products.\nInventory, repackage, and process approximately 5-6 G2S kits per day or as business needs require.\nRepackage incoming equipment to ensure safe storage and consistent shipment preparation.\nPackage miscellaneous products and equipment in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.\nDocumentation and Compliance\nComplete required production, quality, inventory, testing, and shipping documentation accurately and timely.\nUtilize company software, iPads, and ISO quality systems to record work activities and maintain documentation.\nFollow all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.\nConserve company resources through proper use and care of equipment, materials, and supplies.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nRequired Knowledge\nManufacturing, production, and processing methods.\nQuality control principles and inspection techniques.\nMechanical systems, tools, equipment, and their applications.\nBasic electrical and electronic troubleshooting concepts.\nBasic mathematics, including measurements, calculations, and conversions.\nRequired Skills and Abilities\nAbility to read and comprehend work instructions, blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality.\nPIV operation experience\nAbility to monitor equipment performance and identify issues requiring corrective action.\nEffective problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.\nAbility to coordinate work activities and prioritize multiple tasks.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nProficiency with computers, tablets, and business systems.\nAbility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nWillingness to work additional hours when necessary to meet customer and operational requirements.\nEducation\nRequired:\nHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent.\nPreferred:\nTechnical training or education in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, mechanical systems, or a related field.\nExperience\nRequired:\nMinimum of two (2) years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, repair, maintenance, logistics, shipping, receiving, or a related industrial environment.\nPIV Operation experience/certification.\nPreferred:\nExperience rebuilding mechanical equipment, hoisting equipment, or industrial tools.\nExperience working within an ISO-certified environment.\nIf you live in a city, chances are we will give you a lift or play a role in keeping you moving every day.\nOtis is the world’s leading elevator and escalator manufacturing, installation, and service company.
