You will translate business intent into clear, testable work, keep the backlog healthy and ready, and partner with Engineering, QA, Design, Operations, and business stakeholders to ship improvements our broker customers rely on every day. \nThis role exists to raise the bar on backlog quality, user story definition, roadmap execution, stakeholder alignment, release management, and delivery predictability across the Epay platform. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being close to the work and takes ownership of outcomes, not just tickets. \nEpay is OTR’s broker back-office automation and carrier payments product. It supports document audits, invoice automation, carrier payments, billing, TMS integrations, and integrated working capital through OTR Factoring. Our customers are freight brokers, with finance teams in accounts payable and accounts receivable serving as the platform’s primary users. \nThe platform follows a regular production release cadence and connects to the TMS systems brokers already use, including Turvo, TAI, Revenova, and McLeod. \nPlease note: We do not sponsor work-related visas.** \nResponsibilities: \nOwn and maintain the Epay product backlog, prioritizing work based on business value, risk, and roadmap commitments \nEnsure every item entering refinement is clearly defined, testable, and ready for implementation \nMaintain backlog health, including acceptance criteria, states, permissions, loading, empty, and error conditions \nTranslate stakeholder intent, business value, and success criteria into clear user stories and acceptance criteria \nDocument workflows, process models, and supporting materials for audit, invoicing, payment, and billing scenarios \nPartner with Design and UX to validate workflows, edge cases, and usability before development begins \nLead or support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release planning by providing timely clarification and decisions \nWork with the Tech Lead to clarify scope, sequencing, dependencies, and technical constraints, including TMS and API integrations \nIdentify delivery risks early and drive them to resolution \nOwn business-level user acceptance testing and validate completed work against requirements before acceptance \nCoordinate with QA to ensure test scenarios cover UI behavior, end-to-end workflows, and regressions \nParticipate in release-readiness and go/no-go decisions \nHelp prepare release notes for internal teams and customer audiences \nCommunicate status, risks, plans, and scope changes to Product leadership, Broker Services, and Operations \nIncorporate feedback from Support, Implementation, Analytics, and customers into backlog refinement \nContinuously improve backlog quality, requirements practices, and delivery processes across the team \nWhat we look for: \n4-7 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or in a similar role \nHands-on experience with Agile software development, backlog management, sprint planning, user acceptance testing, requirements definition, and the software development lifecycle \nExceptional user story and acceptance criteria writing skills, including experience supporting UI and UX features \nComfort reviewing wireframes, mockups, and prototypes with a strong understanding of the end-to-end user experience \nExperience creating process models and workflow documentation \nFamiliarity with TMS platforms such as Turvo, TAI, Revenova, or McLeod and the load lifecycle processes is a must \nWorking knowledge of APIs and system integrations, with the ability to contribute to technical discussions with Engineering \nBasic understanding of data analysis and reporting concepts \nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence without direct authority \nExperience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or a similar backlog management platform \nExperience with Asana or a similar project management platform \nExperience with Lucidchart, Miro, or similar process-mapping tools \nExperience with payments platforms, AP/AR solutions, FinTech products, transportation or logistics technology, broker or carrier software, or audit and payment workflow systems preferred \nFamiliarity with Aha! or Confluence is a plus \nProactive problem-solving skills and a strong sense of accountability \nAbility to balance speed, quality, and user impact when making daily tradeoffs \nPerks and Benefits: \nOTR provides a competitive, comprehensive compensation package for our full-time employees: \nPaid Certifications \nCertification Bonus \nEligibility for Individual and Company bonus programs \nMedical, Dental, Vision, Life/AD&D Insurance, Short-Term Disability \nPet Insurance, Paid Family Leave, Employee Assistance Program \nFully Paid Maternity Leave \n401(k) with Company Matching \nGenerous PTO, Sick/Mental Health Days, Flex Holidays + Company Paid Holidays \nTravel Stipend to support Work Life Balance \nLeadership Development and Training \nContinuous Learning + Professional enhancements \nWeekly Catered Lunches + Casual Dress Code \nCompany Paid Fitness Membership \nVolunteer Days and Opportunities with Company-Partnered Charities \nInternal Inclusion programs \nOTR’s mission is to create exceptional value for our clients by providing industry leading financing and back-office solutions.
