This role will provide technical, engineering and analytical support to site operations, liaising effectively with senior personnel across the business.\nThe Role\nThe Project Engineer role will be Mon-Fri, full-time based in Otraco’s Head Office in Kewdale (Perth), with travel to our site operations as required. The role is varied, hands-on, and will support an extremely talented in-house team.\nProvide engineering and technical support across the business and sites.\nEnsure that Otraco standards are maintained in the analysis of total cost of ownership (TCO) regarding the clients’ tyre operations, and that sites maintain Otraco’s standards of tyre management, servicing, accuracy of tyre records and workshop performance.\nLiaise with Operations to stay informed with developments on site.\nProvide leadership and motivation to maintain a high level of performance, teamwork and morale.\nLiaise on a regular basis with Client company personnel responsible for tyres and Otraco’s operation.\nManagement and analysis of data, preparation of dashboards and monthly reports (comprising statistical and written sections) for the client based on data input by site personnel.\nMake recommendations to the client on any factor affecting tyre performance and costs, or which would enhance the overall performance (TCO) of the operations, usually via a General Monthly Report (GMR).\nIdentify technical/engineering discrepancies across sites and implement solutions through problem solving.\nIdentify opportunities to innovate and implement solutions to create efficiency gains for our clients and to minimise their tyre related costs.\nDetermine tyre budgets for site.\nPerform EM tyre batch and other analysis on a regular and appropriate basis.\nConduct TKPH, V-Box, tyre heat monitoring and other site studies as necessary.\nConduct scrap tyre and rim inspections when on site.\nEnsure that the relevant contracted “Scope of Work” is performed to a high quality of service for each site, and that the Site Contract Specification Plan is regularly reviewed and complied with.\nPerform ad hoc tooling, operational and technical studies as required.\nConduct consulting audits and prepare/deliver technical papers and presentations as required.\nPerform quality audits to ensure that sites are complying with Otraco policies and procedures.\nGive presentations on site to operators, supervisors and management, including site review presentations as required.\nPromote continuous improvement in technical and engineering development across the sites.\nParticipate in toolbox and safety meetings, including any follow up issues raised relating to Otraco operations to site.\nSchedule and conduct regular site visits to operations around Australia (and overseas as required).\nAssist with the investigation of hazards, incidents and unsafe work conditions and equipment, and implement actions to eliminate or reduce risks to acceptable levels.\nReview and recommend improvements to existing procedures, to encourage the adoption of best practice and standardisation across all Otraco operations.\nPerform safety audits and assist with risk assessments as required.\n\nAbout You\nTo be successful you will ideally have a Tertiary Qualification in Engineering and be able to demonstrate the following:\nUnrestricted working rights in Australia.\nDegree qualified in Engineering.\nExperience in data management and analytics.\nExperience in MS Power BI (preferable).\nExcellent verbal and written communications skills.\nHigh level understanding of the mining and tyre industry (preferable).\nExperience in engineering design, certification, and fabrication (advantageous).\n\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive remuneration with a leading integrated services provider.\nThe unique opportunity to work with a world leader in vehicle and OTR tyre asset management.\nA supportive and dynamic team environment.\nThe chance to join a dynamic and successful business dedicated to nurturing their people personally and professionally.\nNumerous financial, lifestyle, health and wellbeing benefits including salary sacrifice. options, novated leasing, discounts and support programs.\n\nThis is the opportunity to join an industry leader in a diverse and challenging role and a chance to define your career path with our world class organisation.
